I want my money back if there is no truck racin!!!
Thank you NormsRevenge,
Here’s to a great race in the greatest country in the free world.
The NASCAR threads that you and others put up here continue to amaze this computer illiterate FReeper!
Big week for the Bowyer Fan Club as Clint returns to his home track this weekend. On Thursday Clint is throwing a big party and taking the Fan Club Go-Karting (unfortunately I’m stuck here in Jersey.) On Friday he’ll be racing his Eldora car at his local dirt track (Lakeside, KS) and then he’ll pulling double duty in the Nationwide and Cup races. GO CLINT!!!
No national chains? interesting
Saudi’s are now in Nascar
George Gillett, whose family is the majority owner of Richard Petty Motorsports, has entered into a commercial collaboration agreement with F6, a leading Saudi Arabia-based sports management firm founded and led by Saudi Arabian Prince Faisal bin Fahad bin Abdullah Al Saud.
According to a news release from F6, the agreement includes the Liverpool soccer team and is designed to explore business opportunities in soccer, stock-car racing and interactive media in Saudi Arabia. The framework for a partnership in NASCAR has also been established to consider the development of a stock-car racing circuit and Richard Petty racing schools in the Kingdom and elsewhere in the Middle East.....
****Okay, does the Middle East even know what Stock car racing is and who Richard Petty is????
It doesn't matter. IMO, with both Gillett and F6, it's all about the Benjamins.
Well there goes the neighborhood...
I’m trying to catch up!!! I just got to watch the recorded Dover race this morning. LOL
This work interfering with racing is a problem! Guess I gotta keep eating though.
The OM has 'em dialed in.........
Caution is out for a sand dune in turn 4...
Government Motors is to shut down Saturn after deal w/Penske collapses:

I will 3rd the motion . Go Mark!!
MM is not on my team this week so he needs to find a excuse, any excuse to head to the garage early and often.
I CAN’T BELIEVE I SAID THAT!!!
I had the foresight to save the best for the end of the season!! woo hoo
You’re behinder than I am!
Regan Smith is my new second most favorite driver -
he follows Glenn Beck and thought the Communist China tribute on Empire State building was “empire state building lit up to support chinese communism? What the ?!?@ has happend to America?”
That gets him my vote!
Ryan McGee from ESPN posted back to him and said he should run for Senate - lol
Vote early and often!
Have you been following the Perry v KBH stuff?
Haven’t had time lately. Barely getting to watch the races.
This has not improved my humor today.
Dang! I can wholeheartedly agree with you on that sentiment!
They could use sand dunes to cushion the cars when they went off track..
plus Richard Petty was born to ride a camel. :)
I haven't had time either. Too much work. What gives?
I think KBH is playing dirty tricks - secretly taping meetings of RP and taking audio out of context.
Does KBH have a snowballs chance?
Drivers picked, rain/snow/cool forecast this weekend. The weekend Fall Festival folk will have to cope w/the 5” of snow on the passes already w/more to come. (Mountains were beautiful yesterday)
It’s shaping up to be a good relaxing weekend if I can get the ‘do’s’ done today.
Well now -
Crews for Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson had to make some fast changes before their race cars could depart Hendrick Motorsports for this weekend’s Price Chopper 400 Sprint Cup Race at Kansas Speedway. During an Official NASCAR inspection the cars were not found to be illegal - but were very close.
And,
I guess there was some big buzz about the #5 and #48 cars not passing the inspection at the R&D Center. At least that seemed to be the buzz. I think from what I have read that Mark Martins car was just fine. It may have been pushing a limit but as long as it is legal, then it is legal.
http://racingnewsdigest.com/2009/10/02/why-wouldnt-hendricks-48-team-be-penalized/
I read the articles and it seems much ado about nothing.
If you’re in, you’re in. If you’re out, you’re out.
ANY Crew-Chief worth his salt should push the manadated tolerances to the limit if it makes the performance better. I’m curious as to why this is an issue. Are some complaining that the Hendricks team is too good and are trying to attach the stigma of “cheating” or is NASCAR firing a shot acrossed the bow...
It sounds like one of those deals like Jeff Gordon’s 1997 All-Star car. Yes, it’s legal...but we’d advise you not to bring it back to the track.

Yep, but, it’s close. Jr, Brad and Jamie are 30.81 and 30.82. I think the whole field is as tight as I’ve seen it.
