There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.
For an alleged intellectual (which he ain't!), Obama has been rather stupid in his treatment of and words about the military folks here (active and former -- and there are a lot of them).
Emerging tyrants throughout history have either had to coopt the military or, like Stalin and others, eliminate the upper ranks and replace the officer corps with loyalists.
The bad news is that the service academies have been gradually infested with leftists teaching PC, multi-culturalism, internationalist One World crap for several decades. It's anyone's guess how these officers still on active duty will respond.
And if such an event does take place, I suspect there will be a division along racial lines but no way to tell what the numbers would look like.
Like the author, I believe it would be a fairly civil affair but, again, now way to be certain. It COULD get ugly before it is resolved.
I HOPE that oath they took to defend the Constitution -- which I also took in 1962 -- prevails and we can get back to undoing the damage Obama has done and get on with striving to be the America the Founders envisioned.

The Officer Corps will not try to overthrow the civilian government. They may resign in large numbers and execute their rights and responsibilities as citizens, but while in uniform they will obey lawful orders issued by the President and his civilian leaders.
We didn’t do it when Carter was President and won’t do it now.

The white hut is filled with Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood moles (FACT). Some were exposed before the election. I woul dbet that intel is being leaked by them back to Al Qeada and the Taliban to kill our soldiers. The rules of engagement (ROE) is killing our soldiers.
In BlackHawk Down - the Army had begged for M1 tanks and M2 Bradleys as back up. Clinton vetoed it becaus ethe Cong Black Caucus said no tanks against Africans. End result is our guys had no back up. Les Aspin resigned over it.
Someone does not work for us - he works for those he bows to. Those he bows to fund the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), CAIR and other Islamic groups.
MB’s job is to build mosques in the West and expand Islam into the West.

You pay a lot of attention when your Commander-in-chief establishes rules of engagement that limits your ability to defend yourself. They know.

Carter was a Naval Officer. Obama is a community organizer.

Obama is about stealth. As we saw with Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, Van Jones, etc. if too much scrutiny is brought to bear that shows Obama as a radical, he will throw whomever he needs to under the bus to maintain his mainstream viability.
Obama will try to change what he can get away with, and if that is only incremental change, he will take it. He will get quite a bit done beneath the surface unless Congress changes hand in 2010.

Not only has Obama irritated the military, he has attacked the CIA. Wasn’t there a president about 40 years ago who made some enemies in the CIA? Not a good idea.
