Playing At Being President
The American Thinker ^ | September 30, 2009 | W. A. Bussey

Posted on 09/30/2009 3:39:59 AM PDT by Scanian

The longer he is in office, the more it appears that Barack H. Obama doesn't really want to be president but only to play at being president. He doesn't seem interested in dealing with the messy, day-to-day responsibilities of the president's job. He doesn't want to be the Chief Executive and propose legislation that will move the country forward to new heights. He doesn't want to be Commander-In-Chief of the military and execute a necessary war. He doesn't take on the fiscal responsibilities required of the executive to deal with our economic issues. He doesn't want to be leader of the United States and act with dignity and forcefulness to put American interests forward in the world community.

ISAIAH 40

22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

23 He brings princes to naught
and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.

24 No sooner are they planted,
no sooner are they sown,
no sooner do they take root in the ground,
than he blows on them and they wither,
and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

The article nails it! I have said since early in his campaign that he and his live in an “American Idol world”! It’s all about what he/she is wearing and who they are being seen with.

Zero's body language is a dead give away that he is a poser. His teleprompter head gyrations tell us that he is a robotic reader. Anyone that can objectively look at him realizes he is not the great orator that his lapdog media reports. He loves the photographer when on the world stage. Even his smile is so unbelievably waxy. He could have been a prop in Madame Tussaud's museum this past week with how remarkably well he held his smile. When it comes to substance, as in meeting with the NATO commander this week... he was terribly uncomfortable. His eyes were blinking, his mannerisms were broadcasting 'get me outta here, people are going to realize I know nothing about Afghanistan.'

Obama Joker

I read somewhere that on election night when Obama was declared the winner, Michelle said to him, “All our troubles are over!”

The thought behind that statement - that the Presidency is a winning lottery ticket somehow - is stunning in its ill forboding for our Nation.

Yep, there is something very strange about his smile. Check out this video (CREEPY!)...That Odd Obama Smile Never Changes (video)

Concur 100%. Obama is the personification of image over substance. He wants to give speeches and have his minions sweat the details. Of course, when that happens he loses control over the final product. But, hey, who cares if its any good or not? Aas long as he can declare “victory”. Despite his rhetoric, he will never go “line by line” through anything—its too much work.

Hillary may have been right, but I doubt she would have been any better. Her tenure as SecState has not been impressive so far.

obama is nothing but somebody’s puppet. He has not come to govern but solely to dismantle the US system. And his reward, as someone here mentioned, is that he and Michelle get to live it up.

This crap is so easy to spot.

Clinton wasn’t fit for the office. I often wondered how a guy like that made it all the way into the presidency.
-He was there to open the door for a schmuck like obama to get in and start the real damage.

There is nothing good about these people. I hate to say that.

Barry is the 'Accidental President'. He never thought he would really win so now he doesn't know what to do.

He's like a little yappy dog that always chases the UPS Truck and barking all the way, then one day he actually catches it. He's like, 'okay, now what genius?'

[to put it another way. Obama is a 'Post Turtle'.]

It’s more of a grin than a smile. Davy Crockett would ask him if he had ever grinned down a bear. It sometimes makes me think of Alfred E. Neuman and I am certainly not the first to say that. It’s a tossup between Alfred E. and Steve Erkel.

He is probably trying to decide whether to say, “Who,Me?” or, “Did I do that?”

Of course the Obama-as-Joker posters make the same point. As the Joker says in "The Dark Knight":

Do I really look like a guy with a plan? you know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it! You know... I just do things.

Agreed ...

PSALM 52

1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man?
Why do you boast all day long,
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?

2 Your tongue plots destruction;
it is like a sharpened razor,
you who practice deceit.

3 You love evil rather than good,
falsehood rather than speaking the truth.
Selah

4 You love every harmful word,
O you deceitful tongue!

5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin:
He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent;
he will uproot you from the land of the living.
Selah

6 The righteous will see and fear;
they will laugh at him, saying,

7 “Here now is the man
who did not make God his stronghold
but trusted in his great wealth
and grew strong by destroying others!”

8 But I am like an olive tree
flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God’s unfailing love
for ever and ever.

9 I will praise you forever for what you have done;
in your name I will hope, for your name is good.
I will praise you in the presence of your saints.

Destiny's Child "Bills, Bills, Bills"

At first we started out real cool Taking me places I ain't never been But now, you're getting comfortable Ain't doing those things you did no more You're slowly making me pay for things Your money should be handling And now you ask to use my car (car) Drive it all day and don't fill up the tank And you have the audacity To even come and step to me Ask to hold some money from me Until you get your check next week

You triflin', good for nothing type of brother

Silly me, why haven't I found another? A baller, when times get hard Need someone to help me out Instead of a scrub like you Who don't know what a man's about

Can you pay my bills? Can you pay my telephone bills? Can you pay my automo' bills? If you did then maybe we could chill I don't think you do So, you and me are through Now you've been maxing out my card (card) Gave me bad credit, buying gifts with my own name Haven't paid the first bill But you're steady heading to the mall Going on shopping sprees Perpetrating to your friends that you be ballin' And then you use my cell phone (phone) Calling whoever that you think at home And then when the bill comes All of a sudden you be acting dumb Don't know where none of these calls come from When your momma's on the bill more than once (Bridge)

You triflin', good for nothing type of brother Oh silly me, why haven't I found another You triflin', good for nothing type of brother Oh silly me, why haven't I found another You triflin', good for nothing type of brother Oh silly me, why haven't I found another You triflin', good for nothing type of brother Oh silly me, why haven't I found another (Chorus 4x)

Trashy family backgrounds—communist in Hussein’s case—leftist inclinations, high-ranking patrons, and questionable campaign mone is how those guys got in.

Now Soros and Saudi money and the influence of our Chinese creditors/masters is what is making Zippy run.

Every job/position he’s ever had was just a springboard to the next highest position, so he’s always been in “campaign mode” in one sense or another.

Now that he has the highest job possible, there is serious work to be done. But he puts that off to indulge his King of the World fantasies as he travels around the globe putting America in a trick bag.

I’ve found that while overseas acting like a patriotic American wins more respect than acting like a doormat. I’ve seen the other approach tried and it only provokes derision.

When you show love for and loyalty to America, you soon find out who your friends are. But the most important thing I’ve learned is that even the anti-American types will show you grudging respect if you know your stuff and stick to your guns.

Nobody, I mean NOBODY has any respect or use for a traitor.

That cartoon captures it very well. The Left has believed for so long that all America has to do was be contrite and World Peace would instantly break out. Obama is their first real chance to test the theory - and early returns are not promising.
