The longer he is in office, the more it appears that Barack H. Obama doesn't really want to be president but only to play at being president. He doesn't seem interested in dealing with the messy, day-to-day responsibilities of the president's job. He doesn't want to be the Chief Executive and propose legislation that will move the country forward to new heights. He doesn't want to be Commander-In-Chief of the military and execute a necessary war. He doesn't take on the fiscal responsibilities required of the executive to deal with our economic issues. He doesn't want to be leader of the United States and act with dignity and forcefulness to put American interests forward in the world community.

The article nails it! I have said since early in his campaign that he and his live in an “American Idol world”! It’s all about what he/she is wearing and who they are being seen with.

Concur 100%. Obama is the personification of image over substance. He wants to give speeches and have his minions sweat the details. Of course, when that happens he loses control over the final product. But, hey, who cares if its any good or not? Aas long as he can declare “victory”. Despite his rhetoric, he will never go “line by line” through anything—its too much work.

obama is nothing but somebody’s puppet. He has not come to govern but solely to dismantle the US system. And his reward, as someone here mentioned, is that he and Michelle get to live it up.

Every job/position he’s ever had was just a springboard to the next highest position, so he’s always been in “campaign mode” in one sense or another.
Now that he has the highest job possible, there is serious work to be done. But he puts that off to indulge his King of the World fantasies as he travels around the globe putting America in a trick bag.
I’ve found that while overseas acting like a patriotic American wins more respect than acting like a doormat. I’ve seen the other approach tried and it only provokes derision.
When you show love for and loyalty to America, you soon find out who your friends are. But the most important thing I’ve learned is that even the anti-American types will show you grudging respect if you know your stuff and stick to your guns.
Nobody, I mean NOBODY has any respect or use for a traitor.
That cartoon captures it very well. The Left has believed for so long that all America has to do was be contrite and World Peace would instantly break out. Obama is their first real chance to test the theory - and early returns are not promising.
