I would wager that those 32% pay at least 50% of the personal income and business taxes in this country...

I'd bet it's a lot more than 50%.

Trouble is Minnesota to some is flyover country. Keillor actually used to be somewhat funny, until he Lived for some time in New York City. Then he turned into a nasty snobby elitist. This I heard from a person who used to work on his stage crew, who happens to be a liberal.

Maybe Keillor should move across the river to Minneapolis. There does happen to be a cultural divide between Minneapolis and St. Paul. The former is extremely shrill, wound-too-tight, and moonbatty. St. Paul in comparison is quite sane. Note I did say by comparison, since there is a member of the City Council who defended the “anarchists” that build fire bombs to throw at police during the RNC Convention.

In my opinion, the act of making other citizens liable for my individual (or our collective) mistakes is not just to infringe upon their liberties, but also their rights.

You're right.

Income and payroll taxes infringe upon the individual rights to life and liberty.

Income and payroll taxes, as forms of "involuntary servitude" imposed upon the individual, constitute a direct violation of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution.

And let's not even get into property taxes.

Old men shouldn't be allowed to doze off at the switch and muck up the works for the young who will have to repair the damage. Get over yourselves. Your replacements have arrived, and you should think about them now and then.

That's awfully good advice, Keillor. Why don't you take it?

By what authority would anyone, including the government, be able to “cut off” health care to anyone, let alone “GOP”ers?

A better question is, by what authority does Congress obtain powers to provide health care to anyone?

This is amazing. I JUST read Thomas Friedman’s piece in today’s NYT- where he wrings his hands and frets over the rabid hatred coming from the crazed right wing.

I would pay the price of admission to have Friedman read this from Keillor and then respond.

Will he be allowed to treat himself

There will be an oversight board watching the pharmacies so that no doctor can prescribe anything to anyone without it going into a database.

If there isn't already.

I used to know a woman who worked for Keillor on his radio show. She said he tried to have sex with all the pretty women that worked for him. She quit her job and moved out of Minnesota. I haven’t listened to Keillor since.

Even before I discovered what a hate-filled lefty scumbag he is, I couldn't stand Keillor's schtick. Stumbled across it a few times on the radio, listened for around 3 minutes and then kept surfing. I found it to be cloying and utterly phony. Wonder if this four-eyed fraud would give up his top-of-the-line private healthcare package for a gubmint one?

Republican Genocide? Make the first move, Gary boy!

Trade off:

The left can have the blue states with their pure democracy and planned economies.

The conservative red states can have a free market based economy with a limited republican form of government.

In 20 years, we shall see who has the better healthcare system and growing economy.

All the rhetorical excess of his opinion piece is to say: “Pass healthcare Reform.”

Within that term itself we have the problem of the entire leftist agenda and the media that allows them to propagandize.

They have the majority and it is so noxious and poisonous that even they can’t pass it.

First of all, it is not REFORM. Reform is careful, prudent and evolutionary change meant to preserve what is good in a system. This sort of leftist agenda is Revolution, Takeover, Socialism or Re-Invention — certainly not reform.

Second, it is a program wholely unsuitable for the Federal Government and its Constitution. Our Federal system is meant for states to have the general government to address broad issues like this, not the limited Federal Government.

Where the Federal Government has stuck its nose into healthcare what has been its track record? Medicare and Medicade, even with state involvment left-handedly have been finacial disasters. Federal mandates of other health measures have been pure idioatic excess and driven costs up for items like a Russian Interpreter (or others as needed) available, on-call for every hospital.

Little Garrison needs to understand that his oh so charming personality from Lake WillBeBroke with all its charm can’t convice the population that Destruction is Reform.

“Will this apply to a doctor who is a Republican? Will he be allowed to treat himself, or would his personal Commissar beat him down if he tries to?”

Well, in Russia in WW II, the Communist Commissars walked behind the women and children whose function was ...

are you ready for it ???

... to walk in front of the advancing Russian troops and step on and explode all the land mines in the ground, and absorb all the German bullets, until the Germans ran out of bullets, and THEN the glorious Red Army could attack.

Don’t believe me?

Read up on some Russian glorious history, or ask Russian historians who say so themselves .

Oh by the way, wasn’t it Frank Marshall Davis, Obama’s mentor from 10 to 18, who wrote:

March on glorious Red Army

March On

I guess he meant after all the land mines had been exploded for them first.

Does any of this remind you of how the current Administration is thinking of you???

You are cannon fodder, tax payers, expendable after 55 years old, to be stepped on, repressed, interned in camps (Ayers and his buds), and more -— you are “Brooks Brother tea baggers, rednecks, racists, __________ (fill in your own insults here I have grown weary of listing them).

George Orwell, a magnificent writer and a brave protester, and an ex Communist and ex Anarchist (Homage to Andalusia) said it best:

Do you want to know what the future holds?

Imagine a boot, stamping down on a human face .............. forever.

Odd: the Russian word Commissar and Obama’s czars: they seem so closely related .....................

Must be cuz his Mom studied Russian ...
