Your prolix evasion is entertaining but hollow, as all dodges are. I cannot answer the question—that is your job.
Do you believe that Catholics are Christian?
No, you can quite literally answer the question as easily as I. Ive already given you my answer some time ago in an earlier post from this thread. Apparently, you were so busy looking to pick a fight that my answer either slipped your mind, or never registered on your brain in the first place. Presumably, my answer didnt fit your purpose of the moment, so you gave it no notice. Its not my job to repeat, for your convenience, answers Ive already provided. Scratch for it (normally, I might be inclined to accommodate your request, but your troll-like condescension and your Master Inquisitor demeanor, incline me not).
Come to think of it, although you may have responded tentatively, youve not provided a clear and definitive answer to my query: It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that?
In the spirit of reciprocity, are you prepared to do that now?
Troll is as Troll does. Doing Troll. IS Troll.
very good. (insert huge laugh here)
“No, you can quite literally answer the question as easily as I.”
Is that your answer? Anyone can answer the question? If you were a witness at a trial, would you give that answer to the judge? Really, the death throes of an argument are an ugly thing, and best not shared with the public.
To your question—what impact does your personal answer have on your assessment of the Christianity of Catholics? Are they or are they not?
But, Im not a witness at a trial. Im speaking to a troll. Your metaphor, however, gives away your mentality. Youve just made it obvious (like we didnt know it anyway) you fancy yourself a Master Inquisitor interrogating a miscreant. Whoops!
If I were a witness, my counselor would be objecting, question asked and answered, and the judge would be sternly instructing you to stop harassing the witness and to move on.
the death throes of an argument are an ugly thing, and best not shared with the public.
Certainly are (ugly) and certainly arent (best shared). I wont even try to explain why you continue to insist on embarrassing yourself.
Youve had your answer (twice). Move on.
To your questionwhat impact does your personal answer have on your assessment of the Christianity of Catholics? Are they or are they not?
Question asked and answered. If youre no longer sure what the answer was, go dig it out.
Still trying to control both sides of the debate. You havent learned a thing. But, then, trolls never do (learn a thing). The question for you to answer is: It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that?
You refused reciprocity once before and, after several futile attempts, wound up running away. Do you suppose repeating the same failed effort will produce a different result this time?
“Im speaking to a troll. “
That is your unsubstantiated assertion. If you have to cast aspersions against your debate partner to balance a position otherwise bereft of logic, then the only remaining value to this exchange is entertainment.
I am entertained. More, please.
Someone pointing out what your interpretation of the Bible defines as a Christian. Interpretation is always the problem. The same book inspires the God Hates Fags whackos and the openly gay ministers. They just have two different interpretations.
You can't erase everything that happened with one word. Same God. Different relationship with the creation, but still the same unchanging God.
Unchanging God, new strategy, and the strawman about erasing everything is still a strawman.
Unchanging God, new strategy, and the strawman about erasing everything is still a strawman.
Disciples, followers of Christ, were first called Christians at Antioch.
That wasn't so hard. Right from the Bible.
How many interpretations does that get?
Your own behavior (towards others as much as myself) substantiates. Your refusal to reciprocate. Your habit of answering a question with a question often unrelated to the initial question. Your attempts to start a diversionary argument (as youve done here). Your demand that your questions be answered and your refusal to answer others questions (assuming the black hood & robe of a Master Inquisitor). You may as well have a neon sign slapped on your forehead, flashing TROLL.
As I observed in an earlier post, Still trying to control both sides of the debate. You havent learned a thing. Trolls never do. Youre not here to learn anything youre here to push an agenda, and thats fine. But, dont think youre not recognized for what you are. The question for you to answer is: It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that? The process stops cold until you do.
Participate in the process, or run away as you did before.
Choose.
Common tactic, if the argument hurts your side, call it a strawman.
Probably several thousand just today, not counting throughout history since then.
You should understand your projections are every bit as ineffectual as your strawmen.
As far as the “argument hurts your side”...you never actually had an argument to begin with...so obviously I reject your premise.
Apparently you missed post #425, in which your question was addressed. Why do you deny the Christianity of Catholics?
Are you posting from a TelePrompTer? Your long posts contain the verbiage of a BHO speech, similarly devoid of real content.
Not even close, Bucko. You havent figured out the same failed attempts gets the same failed results? That produces a sort of squirrelly consequence.
Your long posts contain the verbiage of a BHO speech, similarly devoid of real content.
Youre trying too hard. Its causing your brain to lockup. Focus, but relax.
The question was, It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that?
You just cant seem to believe that you dont get to run both sides of the show. I told you, Either we treat with each other as equals, or else the whole process comes to a screeching halt (twice, I think).
Choose.
” It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that?”
Do you deny that he has judged Catholics as Christians?
Culthood is not the glamorous life that you may think it is. I strongly suggest that you abandon any plans that you may have to join the Hare Christians.
Will you acknowledge the Christianity of Catholics, or will you follow the cult path of denial?
Choose.
LOL!
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say. I can, however, do without the low form of infantile imitation you proffer so ineptly.
Ive told you (repeatedly) that either we treat with each other as equals, or not at all. Youve had your question answered, and now you have a question before you: It is Christ who is the judge as to who is, or is not, a Christian. Do you deny that? Reply, or acknowledge that you cannot survive on a level field.
Choose.
I am disappointed by your ongoing evasion, bobbing, and weaving, as I had high hopes for this discussion. Your inability to acknowledge the Christianity of Catholics is a disturbing exposition of an inner bigotry that I had suspected but denied.
I was wrong to do so. Your prejudice is real.
Equals? Hardly. You have a long way to go.
