I heard it while it was “live” and my heart broke right along with hers.
Make no mistake; moms are angry and they’re ready to lead the charge in 2010 and 2012. Remember the Iranian protest? It was women getting out there (along with students) fighting and getting hurt and killed. Once a mother feels her children are getting a raw deal, they’re going to fight.
I think Sarah Palin benefits greatly from angry moms, because a lot of them see her as one of them - just a mom willing to fight the system.

Rush, it’s a huge honor for me to speak to you and I hope I can keep my voice level because I am so passionate, I’m as passionate as you are about this country. I’m a conservative, I’ve listened to you for 25 years. I’m married, I have seven kids, and when you were telling me about how... all of the shenanigans that they’re going to do... in the Senate, to pass two different Senate bills then slam ‘em together, attach them to some house bill about TARP and then jam it through and jam it down our throats I got furious, and then I listened to what you said about the Michigan mom who was watching some kids before they went to school and how the Michigan state came down on her accusing her of running an illegal day care and you’re... you’re right, what they’re going to do is they’re going to threaten our health and they’re going to threaten the health of our our children if I don’t comply with their health care I’m not going to be able to get my children the medicine they need...Rush: No... it’s not... whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... it’s not if you don’t comply with they’re health care, it’s not if you’re a good citizen in support of the liberals running the country.

I’ve called Boxer’s office, I’ve called Adam Schiff, who’s my so-called representative. They are very polite, the little people on the phone but the people who are running this country, don’t listen to us, there are millions of us and we’re all furious. And you’re right, the 63 new judges coming on, they’re going to... that’s going to cement, that’s going to absolutely cement their ability to write law, instead of legislate, they can just send it to the judges. The judges will rubber-stamp it.
We’ll just write the law... never mind conservatism, never mind reading what the law actually says. And I look at this, I see this happening every day, I listen to you, and I’m to the point where I don’t even know if I should listen any more, cause it... it... it... I’m so passionate and I’m so furious to watch all this, to hear it all happening, and I feel so powerless for the first time in my life.
I’m glad Mrs. Obama is proud of her country for the first time in her life. I as a mother, as a nobody, I am ashamed of my government, for the first time in my life. And I need to know, how to combat this, especially in 2010, what can I do today, NOW, to help, to revitialize these... these namby-pamby liberal-conservative RINOs in our Senate, and in our government, who are just voting to get along and... (imitates) “I want to get re-elected.” That’s nonsense. They’re not standing up for what’s good and clean and right. They’re not standing up for our Constitution. They should be all thrown out, every last one of ‘em. And I don’t know how to mobilize people, but you do Rush, you do, you have the power, and with... with great gifts, God gives great responsibility, and I beg you, please, please, give us hope, and lead us... because this cannot stand, they cannot keep doing this... this is wrong. I listened to this today live. If Susan really wants to make a difference she can give that exact same speach 3 to 5 times a week for the next year to 3 years and she will have a seat to make a difference. IN CONGRESS! Now she did a half hour without notes, teleprompters, or a speach writer. Wonderful lady and human being! HOO RAH!

She spoke without a net/telepromter. For my money, there was ‘nothing but net’ in this conversation.
She was so captivating. I was ready to make a cell phone call, and I decided to stop just to keep listening to her. And even Rush, as smart as he is, stopped talking and he just her continue talking, all the way to the bottom of the hour break. She ended the break, without a word from Rush. She was dynamite! One of the best ever, imo. Very very articulate. If you did not hear this, it is well worth your time.

Not to mention she wanted Rush/Palin to run in 2010 and thought Pelosi was a Senator for starters. She didn’t have much of a clue and had to be reminded about the Tea Parties by Rush when she said no one is doing anything.
Rambling — absolutly. Actually I didn’t think it was a good call at all because she went on and on and didn’t pay attention to Rush when he tried to get her on track.
I thought it was over the top from someone who doesn’t understand elections or Government and what can be done. Sitting at home getting upset does nothing.
Personally I would like confirmation she was legit.

That was my first thought! Conservatives get really mad — conservatives don’t cry like this. It seemed put on to me and after talking with several other people in other states, they agree it was over the top.
Most conservatives I know don’t call up with pity all of us — we get mad and do something even if it is picking up the phone and calling our members of Congress.
If I was on the radio, I would be spitting nails at the Dems and I would certainly know that there is no Presidential election in 2010. Before I ever called, I made notes in the past.
This was a strange call IMHO. Can you imagine what the leftists are saying? I was irritated if she was a conservative to be acting like that.

While I hear what you are saying, sometimes people do cry when they’re angry. This woman reminded me of my own dear sainted mother, who did the same.
I’m not sure what it says about me- but I was not able to listen to the entire call- got half way through the second tape and just had enough. I wasn’t inspired or moved. It could be though- that she reminds me of a very liberal friend of mine who can’t discuss anything political without dramatic weeping...
My socialist congresscritter sure isn’t listening to any conservative voices.........he worships at zero’s altar. He’s in a safe district, it will remain dem even if the nut case former mayor of Memphis is running against him, he’s a dem too, and another worshiper of zero.
Yes, I’m not as happy with Susan as some here might be, either. It’s interesting that we’re all women and we have issues with it. As a conservative woman I like to think I’m better than the liberals (especially those super-weak vegan aging hippies dripping patchouli oil and flop sweat) who blubber and get emotion in the way of solid thinking about what needs to be done.
What is weird to me is that usually Rush (rightly) talks about how emotional liberals are and why it gets in the way of them having a good grasp of the facts. Yet here he’s encouraging Susan to be hysterical. It just doesn’t seem like a good idea.

Odd, wasn’t it? That’s not to say I haven’t shed some tears as I’ve watched the changes taking place in our country- because I have and likely will again. Normally though- my reaction is seething anger and a kind of profound disbelief.
Maybe it’s my age- my impatience with fleeting emotions is decidely less than it was when I had them all the time :)
Not sure if it’s the woman thing- on occasion I’ve been moved listening to Palin, Bachman- even Megyn Kelly.

Exactly! You have said everything I have been thinking since the interview. It is one of those 2+2 do not make 4 moments.
It was the over the top emotions that didn’t sound conservative to me. Every conservative woman I know is angry about what Obama is doing and want a pound of flesh out of the Dems in 2010! None are doing the pity me the world is lost act. We don’t sit around and wait for someone to tell us what to do either.

I with you because I felt the same way — I was in the car and when I found myself shouting back at her, I figured it was time to turn it off.
She reminded me of liberal women as well with the over the top weeping. I kept thinking I was listening to liberal radio.
I shed a tear when the Star Spangled Banner is played at OU football games or when I see the flag go by with the military at parades.
When it comes to politics, I might get angry but I would never get weepy. I am not a pity me but an eternal optimist who believes that we will overcome the socialists in the White House and Congress and will be a stronger Country after the trash in Congress and the WH is taken out. This Country has become complacent after 9/11 and frankly a lot of people needed a wake up call.
I look at the bright side that a lot of people are seeing the bias of the media that never did in the past which is a step forward. We have a long way to go but have to start somewhere.
I believe we have a lot of elected Dems who are in Congress via ACORN voter fraud. An individual can help find the voter fraud in their precinct. There is a lot we can do. Posting on websites, hosting blogs, volunteering for campaigns, making phone calls, etc., but getting on the radio crying about what is going on is NOT Conservative because Conservatives take action not throw in the towel especially the women. We have to keep fighting the good fight one battle at a time.
She didn’t sound that angry — more emotional. It was the length of time she went on and on with the same level of emotion — almost like it was put on. Something didn’t set right — something was wrong.
Even being upset you are not going to forget the Presidential election is in 2012 and 2010 is the Congressional election. If you do, you have no business calling up a radio program. Thinking Pelosi who comes from CA is a Senator stood out like a sore thumb. She is from CA and doesn’t know her two Senators are Feinstein and Boxer? Those are basics that you don’t forget expecially living in CA.

Most of the women on here will stand up for conservative values, get angry but you are not going to see most conservative women acting like that on the radio. We may get talking 90 miles a minute (I admit to that) but if I was talking to Rush, I would be so happy and figure I had a national stage to take out the Dems on ACORN, Cap and Trade, Obamacare, Olympics, etc.
I resent as a Conservative woman someone like that getting that much time to weep on the air and make us look weak. I cannot stand the pity me. I hated when Carter beat Ford but it took about two days and I was ready to do battle again. Wish we had the internet back then.
Several of us got so mad at the Dems and Obama that we brought our blog, DemocratsforSale.blogspot.com back to life. Doing the research against the Dems and having others help has been great therapy. Taking on the CZARs right now along with other issues. Will be taking on Blue Dogs closer to the election. That is how I am channeling my anger at what is happening.
Also Thank God that I live in Oklahoma and have two really great Senators and we only have one Dem in our delegation who is against Obamacare and voted against Cap and Trade. Also been great to tell the world only 34% of Oklahomans voted for Obama and now with the ACORN finally breaking in the media, we can point to how ACORN has been doing their voter fraud. Been alluding to ACORN voter fraud in OK for months but now it is in the open, details can be told.

I’ve listened to Rush since 1988, when he started in NY. It *was* the best call he’s ever had, and he handled it perfectly. I heard it live, and she did not ramble. One thought led logically into the next.

I’ve listened to Rush since ‘92. I don’t always agree with him. For example, he likes golf, I don’t care for it.I would be interested to hear if he thinks it was the best call ever.If he does that would be another thing I don’t agree with him on. Not that my opinion matters anyway.
