Justice Dept. doesn’t trust Blacks are smart enough to vote Democrat in non partisan elections
The Collins Report ^ | October 1, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

This is a dangerous situation that should put a chill down your spine.

The Justice Department doesn’t trust Blacks to vote for candidates it “approves of.”

Without a “D” behind candidates’ name, as in nonpartisan elections, Justice thinks Blacks can’t be trusted to vote Democrat.

Here’s how it works.

The 1964 Voting Rights Act (VRA) controls voting procedures in nine states. Under Section 5, VRA makes the US Atty. General Elections Commissioner of these captive states. They may not change voting procedures without permission from Eric Holder.

The Voting Section of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division (VSDJCRD) is populated by rabid Leftists who use the power of this law as a weapon to destroy the Republican Party and ensure Democrat power forever.

Kinston North Carolina

The VSDJCRD has stepped into the election regulations in the small town of Kinston North Carolina.

Last November Kinston held a referendum to change city council elections from partisan to non partisan. It passed by a 2 to 1 margin. That should have ended the matter, but it didn’t.

Kinston has 15000 registered voters; 65% are Black. Yet surprisingly VSDJCRD refuses to “approve” this change claiming MINORITIES are being discriminated against by it.

Kinston had actually INCREASED its percentage of Black voters from 59% in 2000. All of the Council and its mayor are Democrats, two Council members are Black. Clearly Blacks faced no barriers in voting or holding elective office.

Nevertheless, the Justice Department was able to find something to object to.

Proving truth and facts never mean anything to people like this, and mocking attacks on the intelligence of Blacks are irrelevant, Justice’s objection is based on a contention that non partisan elections obscure voters’ ability to find the Democrat in the field.

Remember 95% of Kinston’s Black voters supported Obama.

We would welcome knowing who the D was so we could make sure to vote against them. Cuts both ways doesn’t it.

So let me get this straight...What they are saying is that some blacks are not smart enough to know how to vote. That sound REALLY RACIST to me.

Yes, that is exactly what they think. That black people are stupid and can’t read more than a few letters. Also, if a solid Black Conservative came along, they can more easily target that candidate as an Uncle Tom or Auntie. This craps needs to be challenged or ignored.

Why put a ‘D’ on the ballot? Why not just spell it out “Dumba##” - can’t cost that much more in ink/printing.

Democrats have ran NC 99% of the time since reconstruction.

Pretty much the only elections republicans could win, with rare exception, was judges. People know the law and order candidate will have an R after their name.

The republicans were so successful in winning judgeships, even in otherwise big democrat years, that after a near total take over of the supreme court and other courts, the heavily democrat legislature changed judicial elections to 'non-partisan'.

After all these years, Democrats still don’t want black people to wander off the plantation.

I like it. Without the D or R, voters would be forced to do their homework. Blacks actually are quite conservative and agree with the Republicans on most issues, like school choice, abortion, gay marriage. Without the D or R, blacks might vote for the candidate that best represents their views.

What’s next? Requiring a picture of the candidate on the ballot?

"What’s next? Requiring a picture of the candidate on the ballot?"

Pictures only.

A recent newspaper article says that 47% of the residents of New Orleans cannot read or write. So....

Will they provide a scrap of brown paper bag so that the voter can compare the skin tone of the photo for “black enoughness”?

It’s quite hard to figure that out sometimes, it’s hidden deep.
