Ron Paul Warns of Ill-Effects from Dollar Crisis Triggered by Israeli Strike on Iran

Scary times ahead? Perhaps, if you take credence in what Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, says.

Paul, who had a strong grassroots following during the 2008 presidential election, explained on Glenn Beck's Sept. 30 radio program that perilous times lie ahead due to the Federal Reserve's loose monetary policy. Host Glenn Beck asked if voices on the left, including the left-wing media, were right - would their be violence and is this an effort to pin it on the conservative movement.

Beck began by asking how an Israeli strike against Iran might trigger problems with the American financial system.

Disagree with what he says so call him an “anti-semite”. Kind of like when Dems call an Obama critic a “racist”.

There is a musl** in the White Hut. The U.S. is not going to do anything against Islam or productive for now and maybe in the future.

The commander in Afghianistan is ignored and troops there cannot shoot back. The world changed last November.

Ronald Reagan was big supporter of Israel's right to defend itself.

I call myself a conservative.

And I will call Ron Turd and all of his supporters what they truly are:

RETARDED NAZIS.

Obviously, Iran performing an emp strike on the U.S. and/or handing off one of their nukes to Al Qaida to use on us would be just dandy for our economy.

Tell us more, Dr. Paul.

so what will happen is that israel will have to strike Iran and it will be very difficult for the US....totally avoidable if the US took care of this problem itself.

Obama is in charge now. The ball is in Israel’s court. I guess the 78% of liberal American Jews failed to think about it last Nov along with 50+% Catholics and others. I doubt they even care about Israel. They voted for a Muslim.

He is not paying attention to Afghanistan let alone Iran. The ball is in Israel’s court now.

Ronald Reagan was big supporter of Israel's right to defend itself.

Not always. In 1982, Reagan was swayed by James Baker by a photo of a dead Druze baby in Lebanon that Reagan was told was a Palestinian baby killed by an Israeli mortar. In fact the baby was killed by Palestinians. Reagan didn't find this out until later. Meanwhile he called up Menachem Begin and ordered him to stop the Lebanon operation against the PLO. Then the entire PLO leadership fled to Tunisia on a cruise ship. Israel could have ended the PLO once and for all. But Reagan stopped them. Reagan also gave in to Casper Weinberger who disobeyed Reagan's order to retaliate against Hizbollah after they murdered 241 Marines in Beirut. Weinberger simply canceled the order, citing technical problems. He got away with it, Reagan never ordered another attack, and we fled Lebanon. This was a critical error.

As a supporter of both Israel and Ron Paul..

I would endorse Dr. Paul for SecTreas in a heartbeat, but never for anything connected with foreign policy.

He may be right with this forecast, but if he is then I think America's going to just have to suck it up. It's our own fault (not only Obama's but also Bush's) for wimping out on Iran and leaving it up to Bibi to do the heavy lifting.

Some of you may be right about Ron Paul’s view of Israel. However one thing is right...........if Iran is attacked, the cost of oil while skyrocket. And in this current economy...... on the edge of a cliff, the dollar will indeed collapse. Oh and IMHO, Iran should be made into a parking lot......as soon as possible.

And look who L. Ron Paul’s friend is
Congressman Alan Grayson

Not only is Alan Grayson a Left Wing loon
and proudly calls himself a Progressive but,
Grayson has teamed up with another loon, Ron Paul
with his Fed bill and associated with the fascist
Alex Jones.

A few sites for Ron Paul I checked out has comments from Paul’s lemmings supporting Alan Grayson, the Progressive
and his hate filled rant

We had no business letting our Marines sit around in Lebanon like ducks in a shooting gallery. Who are you to criticize Reagan's decision?

"Ronald Reagan's wise and courageous decision SAVED countless lives.

Why should we involve ourselves in the pointless quarrels and hatreds on the Middle East? Ronald Reagan was against it, AND HE WAS RIGHT.
"

At first, Reagan insisted that he wouldn't cave in to the terrorist threat. Then he realized the best policy was to pull out the troops. Here's how he explained it in his autobiography:

Perhaps we didn't appreciate fully enough the depth of the hatred and the complexity of the problems that made the Middle East such a jungle. Perhaps the idea of a suicide car bomber committing mass murder to gain instant entry to Paradise was so foreign to our own values and consciousness that it did not create in us the concern for the marines' safety that it should have.

In the weeks immediately after the bombing, I believed the last thing that we should do was turn tail and leave. Yet the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics forced us to rethink our policy there. If there would be some rethinking of policy before our men die, we would be a lot better off. If that policy had changed towards more of a neutral position and neutrality, those 241 marines would be alive today.

Ron Paul drives the bus that takes us all to school.

Even Michele Bachmann, "the woman who makes Sarah Palin look liberal."

Youtube of Rep Bachmann's Intro To Ron Paul

Bachmann summarized Paul thusly: "I highly value our featured speaker tonight, Congressman Ron Paul...I've been just honored to know him...He truly is who he says he is. He's an awesome man."

It's not clear to me what your point is. Like montag, I don't think we should have sent them in to protect Arafat in the first place. Peacekeepers where there is no peace, a receipe for disaster.

Beggin’ yer pardon, but don’t we ALREADY have problems with the American financial system?

I am just sick of this. If Israel strikes, money will be affected? If IRAN strikes, the whole world could go up in flames.
In case anyone here forgets, the US is sitting on more oil in Colorado than exists in all of saudi arabia. That’s ONE state. We are heavy with oil. We could probably fill all of our swimming pools with the oil from one well off the coast of California.
This attitude, that somehow if the price of oil goes up and destroys the world economy it’s all Israel’s fault is insane. Stupid green/greedy politics, insane envirowhackos, and a lie about global warming is the reason an evil empire can gouge the world finacially for oil, not Israel.
And if Iran gets a nuke, don’t think for a minute they won’t use it to hit saudi arabia, because THAT gives them the Caliphate which they want worse than they want to destroy Israel.

A reductio ad Hitlerum argument can be seen as an example of a “guilt by association” fallacy, since it attacks a viewpoint simply because it was supposedly espoused by Adolf Hitler, as if it is impossible that such a man could have held any viewpoint that is correct.

You just lost the argument. Calling someone a Nazi is a sure way to prove that your argument is weak. Thanks.
