Stockton, CA - A St. Josephs Medical Center emergency room doctor is under fire by the family of a retired Manteca Police Lieutenant who died from a heart attack last June. The family alleges the doctor did not resuscitate their father so he could steal his Rolex. The adult children of the retired police official filed a wrongful death lawsuit last week, as reported by KTXL.

According to the lawsuit, Jerry Kubena Sr. was rushed to the St. Josephs Medical Center on June 1st for heart problems. Emergency room physician Dr. Cleveland Enmon allegedly allowed Kubena to die from a heart attack after he noticed his Presidential Rolex watch on his wrist. Two nurses reportedly noticed the watch was missing from the body of Mr. Kubena, and that a bulge appeared in the doctors pocket. The nurses reported the missing watch to security, who then told everyone to remain where they are. The lawsuit claims Dr. Enmons somehow slipped outside the hospital and walked into the parking lot, which was caught on the hospitals security cameras. A nurse decided to follow the doctor, and witnessed him throw something from his pocket into a grassy area in the parking lot. The nurse reportedly brought security to the area where she saw Dr. Enmom throw something, and recovered Mr. Kubenas Rolex. Dr. Enmon was apparently confronted with the hospitals security footage, and was fired on the spot.
The civil lawsuit charges Dr. Cleveland Enmon, St. Josephs Medical Center, and hospital owners Catholic Healthcare West for wrongful death, conspiracy, negligent hiring, and supervision. The lawsuit also claims St. Josephs Medical Center tried to cover up the emergency room doctors crime after he was fired. Dr. Enmon was also reportedly indicted by a San Joaquin County grand jury last month for grand theft stemming from the death of Mr. Kubena.

I’ve seen it. And the victim was white.

Maybe his last wishes included having his Rolex scattered in a quiet grassy spot.

Personally, I think the nurses’ actions were commendable. Further, I find it hard to believe that the patient received inadequate treatment while the ‘nurses’ were there - even if the doctor did steal the Rolex. Something about all of this just doesn’t jive.

I kinda don’t think this guy’s malpractice insurance is going to cover this. Wonder how many times he got away with this???

Is this the same guy?
Separately, charges were filed against another ER resident who is accused of drunken driving. Third-year resident Cleveland Enmon, 29, was arrested July 1 and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol, said Hermosa Beach Police Sgt. Paul Wolcott. Enmon’s trial was set for this week.

This must be the doctor Obama was talking about regarding unneeded surgery.

A bizarre story....
What's especially interesting about it, however, is the behavior of the nurses. It appears to me that they had already formed a pretty dismal opinion of the good doctor.
The part that I don't believe, however, is that Mr. Kubena was "left to die."
I suspect that Mr. Kubena was already dead ... otherwise the nurses' actions with regard to the missing watch would render the them just as negligent as the doctor -- If Kubena was still alive, hunting down the missing watch and following Dr. Enmon represent a dereliction of their duty to the patient.
So Enmon was clearly a crook ... but I suspect that this "wrongful death" lawsuit is little more than a treasure hunt.

e.g. the Third World.
You cannot jam millions of people into a first-world nation, not require them to speak the language and expect the same results.
Ted Kennedy was not being idealistic, he knew that the Democratic power base would be solidified by the poverty-stricken Tower of Babel. A permanent underclass whose existence relied on government and just enough of a lifestyle that allowed reproduction and public school indoctrination...
The Left is devious, their goal is enslavement, not empowerment.
They, including Obama, lie.

This is probably going to be what we get with Obamacare.
The good doctors will quit or move offshore. We will get crappy 3rd world sawbones.
I wonder if this creep is a member of the AMA.

Most people don't know what Ted Kennedy did in 1964-65.

This doctor will be an important ER doctor under 0bamadinJad care. He didn't waste time or assets with an elderly patient while redistributing the former patient's assets, STAT!

Basically, it allowed non-skilled people from anywhere BUT Europe and their relatives come to the US.
It also came during LBJ’s War on Poverty (Welfare State) that nicely gave people new to the US free housing, food, money and healthcare.
Methinks it was not accidental.

Actually, the 1965 law was pushed by congresscritters with constituents of eastern and southern European heritage. The immigration laws of the 1920s severely restricted folks from Med and Slavic countries (as was the intention) while giving preference to northern Europeans (Brits, Irish, Germans, etc.).
That is why there was a large uptick in immigration from Greece and Portugal after 1965, with the shift to Asia, Africa, and Latin America coming in the late 1970s.
BTW: If it weren't for the 1965 laws, most Chinese, Korean, and Indian Americans that you see would not be here right now. I mention this because these are three groups routinely mentioned on FR as "good" immigrants.
