Military officials may quit or resign for lack of a clear plan for Afghanistan

Top U.S. military officials may retire or resign unless President Obama quickly sets forth a clear plan on winning the war in Afghanistan, including whether to send more troop to stop insurgents, says Rep. Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican.

"If he doesn't deploy a successful strategy that might happen," said Mr. Ryan, ranking member of the House Budget Committee. "The president has time to think this through, but not a lot of time because right now we have a strategy that's not working."

Mr. Ryan's comments follow similar ones made recently by Republican lawmakers, include those made Wednesday by House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican.

Mr. Ryan told The Washington Times' "America's Morning News" radio show the exodus could ripple through the top ranks, including those at U.S. Central Command

Putting a bunch of moronic, braindead children in total control of the country wasn’t a very bright idea. “History” could have waited until we had things under control. Right now, the entire planet is a total mess. Communists are incompetent morons when it comes to running a government. I don’t know what the “voters” were thinking last November.

I’m all for military discipline, but with 43 kids dying since the general’s report hit Obama’s desk ... if I was one of the kids over there, when I was asked to mount up and head out ... I might say ... “Hey Sarge, are ya sure?” Those young soldiers over there have got to have some personal doubts having a commander in chief that is flitting around in Denmark with Oprah rather than either getting them the hell out of Afghanistan RIGHT NOW or sending 40,000 buddies to help them blow away the bad guys. This is absolutly off the charts. What more can we expect from our troops, but to put them through this???? Shame, Shame, Shame!!!

I don’t know what the “voters” were thinking last November.

I do.... I remeber it quite well actually. It went something like this "We want pie, We want pie, We want pie."

Well, let them eat cake.

The only reason the mission isn’t clear is because Milquetoast Obama is afraid to use the words Military and Victory in the same sentance.

Maybe this is Zer0’s gameplan & they are playing right into his hands. Then when they resign, he can find the most liberal military officers & assign them to top posts.(??)

I believe the entire military would be within their right to resign, should 0bama surrender the war on terror.

If we surrender, the terrorists would have effectively ‘won’ with their attacks on 9.11, having survived our retaliation with us essentially giving up. As a whole, the American people already surrendered last November with the election of 0bama.

I wonder if 0bama will send Gen. McChrystal and Sec. Gates to a cave somewhere to sign a declaration of surrender to Al-Qaeda......

Military officials may quit or resign for lack of a reliable, trustworthy, competent commander in chief.

And who could blame them? They are dying, and he is off making television appearances and looking for parties in Denmark, all while pulling the rug out from under the American people with his socialist agenda.

Maybe we need them here....

All the members of the United States Military have my deepest sympathy and understanding no matter what they choose to do. They are the most honorable and most professional military on the face of the Earth.

This is the ultimate example of being caught between a rock and a hard place.

“That’s it. Time for the military to move in to defend the constitution”

Just joking, faith in democrats is sinking. Unfortunately we have few to turn to. The voters are in a pickle.
