Another month has passed and we are already into October. I have chosen photos from October 2001 to October 2004. The quote of the day is from the Lessons of Liberty Initiative speech which President Bush gave on October 30, 2001 at the Thomas Wooten High school in Rockville, Maryland
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

.
We have a renewed appreciation of the character of America. We are a generous people, a thoughtful people who hurt, and share the sadness when people lose their life or when people are hurt. We've helped each other in every way we know, in donations, in acts of kindness, in public memorials, in private prayer. We have shown in difficult times that we're not just a world power, that we're a good and kind and courageous people.
As we pursue the enemy in Afghanistan, we feed the innocents. As we try to bring justice to those who have harmed us, we find those who need help. The events of these seven weeks have shown something else. They have shown a new generation, your generation, that America and the cause of freedom have determined enemies; that there are people in this world who hate what America stands for. They hate our success, they hate our liberty. We have learned all too suddenly that there are evil people who have no regard for human life, and will do whatever it takes to try to bring this mighty nation to its knees.

I reported to...I was enjoying the thread til that post.
As bad as Bush was, his policies were less destructive than Obama’s. Bush had 8 years. Obama’s only been in 8 months. If Obama keeps leaping toward neo-communism at this breakneck speed, there will be no America by 2012.
Now get lost

No. I’m the Admin Moderator. This is a protected thread, the only one that exists on FR outside the religion forum. Please do not post disparaging posts here, it’s one of the few places on FR that isn’t for that.
I can’t tell you how much I MISS President Bush. I still have all his Christmas Cards, Letters, and pictures. I also have a letter from his Dad. I wrote a funny song mocking Saddam back in 1992 and sent the tape to the White House and to WBCN which played it many times. I have had a very warm relationship with both presidents and prayed for them daily.
I can’t bring myself to pray for Obama, but I pray for the USA and the troops. The Almighty and I will have to work that out, I guess.
Thank you for this thread.
Thank you
