Brown and Sarkozy rowed with Obama over Iranian nuclear announcement

Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy had a behind-the-scenes row with Barack Obama over last week's announcement about a secret uranium enrichment plant in Iran.

The President is believed to have angered the European leaders by insisting on delaying a joint press conference until after he had chaired a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Mr Obama is said to have been worried the announcement would undermine the impact of his session on nuclear non-proliferation.

Details of the disagreement appeared to explain why Mr Brown and Mr Sarkozy, the French president, took a harder line on Iran than the American leader at the meeting

The Prime Minister said it was time "to draw a line in the sand" on Tehran's nuclear programme while the Frenchman mocked Mr Obama for the naivety of his "dreams" of eliminating nuclear weapons.

According to French officials, Mr Brown and particularly Mr Sarkozy wanted to make a declaration on Sep 24, either at the Security Council meeting chaired by the US president or just afterwards.

O still believes the noblesse oblige of merely inviting the Iranians to talk to him should make them submit and do so.

It does not matter how many times Iran’s leaders say Obama has given them what they want, nothing will change the liberal arrogance.

“anti-Western politics”

I think so, but with Iran, it’s about Obama.

His strategy was to merely be nice to Iran, and grant them, arrogantly, the privilege of speaking with him.

That failed miserably. On top of that, he supported A-jad against world interest, then backed down.

He is still holding on to the chance his politeness will be compensated.

He is not pro-Iranian. His Saudi donors would never accept that.

It really is, isn’t it? Unreal. He wanted his Nixon goes to China moment at the U.N., and nothing was to mess that up!

All the French and British leaders had to do was stand up to him and speak out.

They let him dictate to them. Too bad!!!

So what the _resident proved his idiocy by going to Copenhagen?

We have a chump-in-chief who had to hold back Britain and (GASP, SWALLOW HARD) FRANCE from being to FORCEFUL?

Ladies and Gentleman,

We need to thank God for the foreign press.

Let me get this straight.

He held back 24 hours a speech because he wanted to bash the US at the UN before he acted like he was tough on Iran?

What am I missing here? Is this what happens on the Twilight Zone anniversary for everyone?

His "performances" this week at the UN and in Copenhagen kinda negate his "American Idol" moment in Germany and when he accepted the nomination with those cardboard pillars....etc, etc, etc.....

He may get his health care through but that's not what makes the USA the only Super Power.

He sure is alienating us...and it's out of arrogance and ignorance.

Ping, blog comment:
ALL HAIL, PRESIDENT OBAMANITE … THE REAL QUESTION IS THIS: WILL TEHRAN WIN THE NUCLEAR TERRORIST OLYMPICS? Now that you have jacked off the U.S. economy to the highest unemployment since 1983 (thanks so much for all the Dumb-ocrats who made sure there was no reform of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, while paying Obamanist political rake-off money, so you could inherit the economy from yourself); accelerated bank failures to the point where the FDIC will have no money to cover deposits; made the natonal debt skyrocket so our children and grandchildren will be slaves to it; made sure that by 2010 most homeowners will owe more on their houses than their houses are worth; stacked your Administration with a-holes like Rahm Emmanuel, plus Communists, Euthenasists, Reverse Racists and Chicago Slumlords … WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT YOUR PALS THE ISLAMISTS WHO ARE PREPARING TO KILL US? Sure, we can’t give you all the credit. Billy Clinton gets a pat on the back for letting the North Koreans get the bomb, so they and the Pakistanis could help the Iranians along. And sure, the “Shadow Masters” and Nazi-collaborating Soros-ites successfully pumped illegal foreign contributions through Islamic and other sources into your campaign to make sure we have a so-called “president” who will BOW TO THE KING OF SAUDI ARABIA. But you get some of the credit, Barry Soetero. Doing the “moon walk” with your sequined glove waving while procrastinating and ignoring your commanders in Afghanistan … playing kissy-face with Iranian-buddy Chavez in Venezuala … making narcissistic-disordered speeches at the UN as part of your comedy duo with Quaddafi … sending Secretary Hilly-the-Witch to continue the job she had Billy doing earlier … telling the Israelis to stuff it … WHILE MAKING SURE IRAN BECOMES A NUCLEAR TERRORIST POWER. Your Palestinian college roommates who ran your web contribution machine that raked in all those millions from Saudi Arabia, Iran, other Middle East countries and China … thank you. The amalgam of Communists, Islamists, Anarchists and Kenyan Cousin Butchers who mentored you from youth, financed your travels on your Indonesian passport to meet with revolutionaries, pulled Islamic strings and funnelled Middle East money to you so you could get low grades at Harvard, and funneled money to you from Sadam Hussein supporters so you could buy your million-dollar mansion in Chicago (while you funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to failing Chicago slum projects with your Uber-Priestess Valerie Jarrett and Syrian buddy Rezko) … thank you. The Iranians who you and Hillary Clinton are helping to delay and dither until they have nukes ready to launch … thank you. The chip-on-the-shoulder, we want no ejucashun but we got ya taxes, VoteFraud-R-Us ACORN-munching “Maxine Waters Gangbanger Honor Guard” … thank you. The Demo-Corrupt Coven led by Nancy “Priestess of Lies” Pelosi … thank you. The Mexican Drug Gangs of America and all their settlers occupying the United States (Israeli self-defense settlements you don’t want, but Mexican and Central American illegal settlements you embrace) … thank you. WE, ON THE OTHER HAND, THE HONEST, HARD WORKING, TAX-PAYING CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES, WHO THINK THE CONSTITUTION IS FINE JUST THE WAY IT IS WRITTEN … DO NOT THANK YOU.

Or even worse, he was rightly concerned that news of actual, real world proliferation would make his resolution supporting non-proliferation seem naive. Unfortunately for Obama, reality has a way of stepping on the naive no matter how hard they seek to avoid it.

*Brown and Sarkozy rowed with Obama over Iranian nuclear announcement*

This must make some FReepers angry that their guy, Obama was smacked down by the leaders of England and France.

Some FReepers post that it is boogie man thinking that Ahmadinejad and Iran with nuclear weapons is just a myth.

No wonder L Ron Paul did not vote with others to condemn Ahmadinejad. Add that they both share 9/11 Truther views
