The problem is that he - as are all Washington denizens - is a politician, and, as such, can’t even consider the proposition that Government may not have a valid role in many - if not most - situations...

Nothing. He was my Senator and he was a disappointment in the Senate from day one. As with most Republicans Frist was far too willing to compromise on fundamental conservative issues. Frist is yet another glaring example of a so-called Republican that goes along to get along....
If John Warner (”R”-VA) were still there, there is no doubt in my mind he would be supporting this.
