If he wants to win, Perry better know how to treat a lady (TX)

If Gov. Rick Perry loses the 2010 Republican primary, it won’t be because he executed too many men or made too much fun of the recession.

No, if he loses, it’ll be because he mocked a woman.

Six weeks into the campaign, the Cowboy Governor has forgotten the Code of the West:

A cowboy treats a woman like a lady.

Before Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison had even announced her campaign for governor, Perry sent an airplane buzzing overhead to taunt her with the message "Kay Come Clean — Release Your Taxes."

Since then, Perry’s campaign has tailed Hutchison with a "Kay Bailout" truck billboard and dressed campaigners in pigs’ noses to accuse her of voting for "pork."

Last week, on the anniversary of the banking relief vote, Perry’s campaign put an unsmiling photo of Hutchison on a "birthday cake" and presented it to her headquarters.

In other words, the race has already sunk to the level of a student council campaign in Paint Creek or La Marque.

Fine. That’s politics.

But Perry is also discounting and belittling Hutchison and another opponent, Wharton Republican Debra Medina, by pretending they are not really running against him.

Perry said last month that he doesn’t know "who all" is running or "even if I’m going to have a primary or not."

This month, he told The Dallas Morning News that the idea of running against him is "crazy" and "asinine."

Oh, brother. This is Texas politics. We don't allow gender-based handicaps!

Kay better put on her big-girl panties if she wants to play with the boys.

Some girls in Texas can rope a cow as good as any man. If kay ways to play dc politics and pretend she is a little sweet woman...forget it. We’ve proven we can do as good as any man in a lot of areas. So if kay wants to play little girl politics, this ain’t the place to do it.

So Kay Bailey wants to play with the big boys but wants to pull out the lady card. Freaking unbelievable!

I read some libtard comments on the Dallas Morning News site this weekend. They’re organizing their own “Operation Chaos” to turn out the vote for KBH in the primary race.

The problem here is that neither of these two are Conservatives. Either way, we get a RINO.

Let's not forget that "Lady Kay" was the first to start slinging mud ...

When it comes down to it, Palin doesn’t know Eskimo from Alamo about Texas government and politics. What’s more, she is unlikely to care. (...)

If Perry relies too heavily on Palin, he may find himself with a lot of time to watch Russians from her front porch come January 2011.

I am afraid that KBH is going to win the GOP Nomination and the burned down governor's mansion due to Democrats crossing-over and voting in the Republican Primary.

I find it easier picturing Perry wearing a sombrero rather than a Ten-Gallon hat.

Where’s the RNC telling the states to make the repub primaries closed?

Nevermind, they let the dims pick our last pres. nominee and that worked out great so lets let the dims pick all our candidates.

Leadership-—something the repubs no nothing about.

Thee really in no substantial evidence of that theory in that in 2008 McCain had the GOP Nomination wrapped-up long before the Obama had the Democratic Nomination won.

I simply, do not see where many Democrats would have skipped the opportunity to vote for either, Obama or Clinton and instead voted in the GOP Primary.

However, there was Operation Chaos which only served to extend the Democratic Primaries and keep Obama on TV everyday while McCain was back home in Arizona.

KBH is a socialist...she’s not even a RINO...nine will get you ten she has socialist money behind her! Why in hell would she run when we all know Perry could win it? Same with Medina, although I could almost understand her running being pushed by left leaning politics who want to see the historical hispanic governor of Texas.

KBH is also crookeder than a $3 bill! She has no integrity, and can’t be trusted. She will follow special interests every blasted time.

I never liked Perry, and certainly disagreed with the TMCorridor...but we’ve whacked him on the head and straightened him out in some areas and I’d a whole lot rather him than either one of two left leaning women. Even as much as I’d like to see another strong woman as governor!

This is NOT the time to split the party, and it’s not the time to have a governor we can’t trust. We’ve got to be prepared to head up a states rights or secessionist movement if things get really bad the next 1,202 days we have to put up with the trash we’ve got in the White House and Congress right now.

I remember way back when Clayton Williams refused to shake Ann Richards’ hand. It cost him a lot of support and may have even cost him the election.
Be nice to the ladies. (In a slimy politician manner)

Look at her votes...she votes more with the socialists than the republicans.

On the big issues she has no choice but to stand with them or be called down. But look at all her other votes.

She just voted for the HUD appropriations bill...big NO!

She voted for the commie kids and youth acts, BOTH of them! But then so did other republicans. I almost singed their eyeballs off with faxed letters for those votes.

Here’s the site that shows her voting against the party:

It all has to do with EGO...she is perfect, she see all, knows all..she is a US senator who loves POWER and as a Texas Governor she can wield POWER. The EGO among our elected is an amazing thing to watch. The higher up the ladder they climb, the more pronounced the EGO is apparent.

We don’t do ‘victimization’ here in Texas. If she plays the gender card, Perry will beat her by 20 points in the primary.

Yep! I teach my native-Texan children that personal responsibility is a requirement in our house. You make a decision and then you live up to it or you own up to it, whichever the case may be. Success and failure both come with responsibility.

Never forget; Clay Williams' dissing of Ann Richardson gave us that ol' prune face gal for Governor in 1990.

I'm a native born Texan, and regardless, we don't like to see a man abuse a lady/woman. And, BTW, I'm for Perry.
