The Feminization of American Education – Destroying Western Civilization?
Family Security Matters ^ | October 2, 2009 | Robert Weissberg

A sea change has occurred in the education of American women: young girls often academically out-perform boys, are more likely to succeed in college and have flooded once all-male professional schools, notably law and business.

For example, U.S. Census Bureau figures show that while the male and female population is about equal, males comprise some 58 percent of all high school drop-outs. Similarly, the number of females entering college between 1967 and 2000 increased by 20 percent, while the proportion of men declined by 4 percent. The American Council on Education’s statistics revealed that in 2005 women earned 57 percent of all BAs. Among African-Americans in college, females outnumber males by a 2 to 1 ratio, the highest ratio for any racial or ethnic group. In fact, at historically black colleges female graduates out-number males by 10 to 1!

Ask a collage instructor professor why women outperform

I have no doubt that women make better collages than men do.

We're too busy changing oil, gutting deer and scratching our crotches to make collages.

Public Education.
For women
By women
To women

If boys don’t act like girls they are fed pills till they do. The reason boys do poorly is they hate the current educational methods. Boys do not want to write about how the feel about 2 times 3, they just want to get the answer right.

In the 1960s, it was competitive individual women who cracked the glass ceiling. During that period of time, with the exception of women's basketball (and the three dribble rule) and softball, women did not compete much in team sports. Teamwork was not a rule of success, individual drive, skill and passion pushed women to be the “first” in sports and in various traditionally male fields. I don't know whether your observation about “cheating” is true, but successful women were highly competitive.

I think female children of the women of the 60s are more likely to have been involved in mixed sports like soccer and are likely to have experienced the lessons of team sports as the guys.

There is actually a good book about this by Douglas Wolf - The Empire Cycle and Why America is Going to the Girls.

He said this a natural cycle and now that we are benefiting from the risk taking men who made this country that the women who want security and social programs take over. Of course this can only happen because of what the real men did to forge a good country in the first place.

I’m worried that when they are out of school, there will be no jobs left for normal boys.

The normal boys will be the ones running things. Just keep them normal.

rampant passive-aggressive behavior.

Bingo!

Ladies are 100x more effective at this than men.

I sure hope so . . . We have two of those normal boys growing up under our roof. They're both technically oriented, and have a firm grasp of reality. No girly-men allowed.

"Douglas Wolf - The Empire Cycle and Why America is Going to the Girls."

I looked all over the net for that. I couldn't find it.
It sounds interesting.

>Such boys, BTW, are not portrayed as heroes in books or TV. The boys are clowns, sidekicks or adversaries to the smart girl main characters.

But, you can bet that violent criminals (especially the “guy in the tower with a gun”) are male. Doesn’t that just scream success to guys? [/sarc][/cynic]

{Though, to be perfectly honest sometimes violence is needed. Look at soldiers for instance; and look at Congress, they’re so entrenched and corrupt that I honestly doubt anything will change until their lives are put into sudden and immediate danger.}

Yes, they were never too bright, were they? It’s the same with the New Yorkers taking their “democracy” to VA and NC.
