The Feminization of American Education – Destroying Western Civilization?
Family Security Matters ^ | October 2, 2009 | Robert Weissberg

A sea change has occurred in the education of American women: young girls often academically out-perform boys, are more likely to succeed in college and have flooded once all-male professional schools, notably law and business.

For example, U.S. Census Bureau figures show that while the male and female population is about equal, males comprise some 58 percent of all high school drop-outs. Similarly, the number of females entering college between 1967 and 2000 increased by 20 percent, while the proportion of men declined by 4 percent. The American Council on Education’s statistics revealed that in 2005 women earned 57 percent of all BAs. Among African-Americans in college, females outnumber males by a 2 to 1 ratio, the highest ratio for any racial or ethnic group. In fact, at historically black colleges female graduates out-number males by 10 to 1!

Wasn’t it western civilization that gave women the right to vote, hold office and rise in the ranks of business? Ironic that women want to destroy the very system that gave them those rights. Why?

The masculine vs. feminine styles described might more appropriately be called conservative vs. liberal.

It also ignores the fact that there is just as much competitiveness and pecking order stuff going on in the feminine-style groups as in the masculine-style ones, the only difference being that the ladies cover it up more effectively.

Let's just keep rolling all those ads where the stupid loser Failure Daddy is corrected by the brilliant wife/daughter/girlfriend.

And the ad I saw the other day where the ignorant struggling white b**** was corrected in her stupidity by the brilliant minority.

One more creeping little input, another little cut to the death by a thousand.

Ask a collage instructor professor why women outperform, and the first answer you will get is “they take classwork more seriously”.

Frankly, I have not been impressed by some of these women (or men for that matter) that have obtained degrees.

I swear is sounds like many of them graduated from Moscow U. back in the 70s.

quote from article “First, the quest for some hard-edge objective truth, while outwardly affirmed, is subordinated to social etiquette. It is impermissible to cut off speakers, belittle their facts, roll eyes, or otherwise demean participants.”

This is EXACTLY why the left hates Palin.

The same feminizing behaviors affect the business world.

Endless meetings, day after day, week after week, where no one has the guts to speak up and say “You’re wrong!” because it might hurt someone’s feelings. So the project meanders to its disasterous end.

Endless negotiation, reiteration, and inclusion that results in a lot of wasted time and rampant passive-aggressive behavior.

Can we repeal Title IX now? Or do we have to wait until every graduating class is 100% female.

Liberal women maybe. Not this woman.

That is a very good point! Although I must say that I wouldn’t take a personal attack in a debate as well as my husband would.

The masculine vs. feminine styles described might more appropriately be called conservative vs. liberal.

Ann Coulter makes that point repeatedly in Treason and has a lot to say in her conclusions about the corrosiveness of movement feminism.

Seachange? Where has this writer been? Males in school have been virtually ignored for years. From an early age, female students are empowered by predominately female (and feminist) teachers, many of whom possess a disdain for men. Psychological empowerment goes a long way towards success. Neglect leads to failure. Add to that fact males who work with females are forced to assume female personality traits or be threatened with termination and the scenario gets worse. The few males who manage to get through school and land a job are soon feminized themselves by today’s estrogen-rich workplace. Oh yes, and we won’t talk about the huge disparity when it comes to the ratio of males to females losing their jobs right now “due to the bad economy”. No matter how you cut it, being born male, and white, is a curse not a blessing. And when it comes to the workplace, it’s clear we have no rights under the Civil Rights Act, and the employers who are quick to draw our names at layoff time know it. Additionally, if a male wants a “manly job” in this country they can’t do that anymore either. These jobs are all held by illegals, so where does that leave us? Screwed, undermined, disempowered, disenfranchised, and discarded. Feminism won. The family unit died. The workplace sucks. Nothing gets done. Everything’s a mess, bankruptcy abounds. Freedom is dead. But Feminism won.

....the ladies cover it up more effectively.

I once read a magazine article about women golfers years ago -- 40 years ago, I think it was.

The article said, and it claimed that it could back up what it said with observation, that women golfers always cheat, every chance they get.

It concluded, or observed, that women lack an ideal of sportsmanship (or they did, in the 60's) and of play for the sake of the game, and they take it all personally and play for keeps. Hence the cheating.

Comments?

“Let’s just keep rolling all those ads where the stupid loser Failure Daddy is corrected by the brilliant wife/daughter/girlfriend.”

These ads are rampant. Most people just absorb them, and don’t even realize the deliberate bias.

Stuff like this worries me. I have a girl and two active boys, who love math, taking things apart and (sometimes successfully) putting them back together. And running around, shouting, arguing, jumping, throwing things, making lots of noise, doing stuff with Dad and Grandpa, etc. (A lot like their father ;-)

Normal boys. We have the ER bills to prove it, plus several packs of frozen vegetabls that exist for first aid, never to be eaten.

Such boys, BTW, are not portrayed as heroes in books or TV. The boys are clowns, sidekicks or adversaries to the smart girl main characters.

I’m worried that when they are out of school, there will be no jobs left for normal boys.
