When you go around the boss, in your opinion, he’s not going to help you.

I never thought Obama could actually make me yearn for a day when Hillary and Bill were back in the WH. I’d take those two any day over the current bunch.

There is presently no Commander in Chief, only a Clueless in Chief

Yeah, calling him out in the news is not going to win him any popularity points. However, as I see it, the job of the General is to carry out policy AND to protect the men entrusted to his command. Since there is no policy as OZero has not come up with one and since his men are in jeopardy, he had no choice but to call out OZero.

The only question I have now is who will be taking his place as the Narcissist in Chief is not going to be happy with MacCrystal making him look bad. This is absolutely the worse thing that could happen to the men in the field as they will in effect be in the same situation as those soldiers in Somalia with Clinton dithering about and not wanting to do the right thing.

When this overseas contingency operation is over I cannot wait for the NBC mini series: The Days of October 2009 where der Leader is made to look great at the expense of those who had to put their lives of the line. His dismissal of MacCrystal will be portrayed as an act of asserting constitutional civilian authority over what had become a renegade general saving the day for America.

Then shouldn’t a reprimand like this also go back down the chain of command?

The only thing we know for sure about the closet-Muslim is that each and every decision is political and he does not make any of them.
