The relationship between President Barack Obama and the commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan has been put under severe strain by Gen Stanley McChrystal's comments on strategy for the war.

According to sources close to the administration, Gen McChrystal shocked and angered presidential advisers with the bluntness of a speech given in London last week.

The next day he was summoned to an awkward 25-minute face-to-face meeting on board Air Force One on the tarmac in Copenhagen, where the president had arrived to tout Chicago's unsuccessful Olympic bi

So, this much ballyhooed meeting between the President and his general wasn’t actually to discuss the war but the generals comments on it that embarrassed the President? Then the general still hasn’t had the chance to discuss the situation in Afghanistan with the President. Swell, so much for “fighting the real war.”

How dare that uppity general interrupt BO and the Worst Lady’s Copenhagen junket??? Getting the Olympics for BO’s cronies to make a bundle is much more important than our troops’ welfare or our country winning or losing a war.

Mrs. Wide Load should have went upside the General’s head with that right hook her father taught her to throw.(She told that charming anecdote during her “I want the Olympics” speech.)

Boy, we’re lucky we have this guy as our Divine Ruler, aren’t we?

The "ONE" couldn't even look the General in the eye during what some of us assume was the LECTURE:

A obama 25 minute power play.......pathetic.

For over 6 weeks he has ignored Afghanistan.

He better make a decision or he will face another Black hawk down scenario.

No one wants that.

The POS does not even have the decency to reach his hand out to the General.

There is a Douglas MacArthur moment coming

There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is room here for only 100% Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else. - Theodore Roosevelt

That is what it looks like. The picture I just posted looks like Obama is lecturing the General but will not have eye contact with him as he is looking down.

I cannot believe some of these pictures they release from the WH to the media.

So Obama didn’t meet with him to discuss the situation. He met with him to read him the riot act. How long would have Obama put off talking with him if he had not made the speech?

Man oh man, does that picture ever capture the high and the low of American men! The fortunes of a lot of fighting men and women depend on these two men. One can only hope the general is more of a positive for the forces who depend on him than Obama is a negative for the same people.

Anyone who is working and advising Obama is one of two birds... either a licker trying to get a head or someone who is a marxist/fascist. Someone who wants to have a position once Obama is “ruling “ the nation.

This cheesey “this aint America “ has to stop.

Barry just wants to forget about this messy military stuff. It’s clearly defined as a responsibility of our government by the Constitution and thus of not interest to him. He’d really like to get back to fun stuff like planning for the 2020 Olympics, Cap & Trade, taxing soda pop and installing ObamaCare.

The general has responded with a series of candid interviews as well as the speech. He told Newsweek he was firmly against half measures in Afghanistan: "You can't hope to contain the fire by letting just half the building burn."

Half measures get soldiers killed. But hey, according to Liberals, soldiers are supposed to die for their country so, where's the problem?

A Taliban controlled Afghanistan would once again be a haven for Al Qaeda to launch global acts of terror.

I have been wondering also. Any insights out there?

Since Gen. George S. Patton Jr. is one of my heroes, I really admire generals who don’t mind getting pompous ass politicians “furious” at them. I think that it’s one of the most honorable things a soldier can do. Go General McChrystal! America is on your side!
