So, what’s an incompetent Commander-in-Chief to do? If 0Bama fires all of his military leadership, he also tosses all of the experience and true military leadership. Tis a grand time to be a professional military leader... or not!

Wouldn’t it be something if the military turned on him and we had a mutiny?

Extremely dangerous precedent, but he certainly isn't making any friends.

I thoroughly agree, Ron. (Including "detest".) The dreamy thing would be, rather than a mutiny, if a sizable chunk of the senior military staff just resigned out from under him. It makes the same, unmistakable point, but the right way.

Yes, but who or what would replace them?

I hate to sound cliche but these are some very interesting times indeed

Shaking head and cursing

McChrystal was wrong in speaking out.

That's what you think. The commies and socialists running around D C stealing our money and undermining national security are not going to be stopped at the ballot box.

This is a shot across the bow that the officer corps is not going to put up with these red sons of bitches indefinitely

This isn’t Vietnam days

The US Military is greatly admired even revered

Wonder what the effect would be on the troops in the field if the general resigned because he couldn’t carry out orders from Obama

They don’t have the option of resigning

Obama better get his act together SOON

I can’t possible imagine what our top military leaders think of this ersatz pharoah with a resume resembling that of a high school student council member. Hard to believe that such a pretentious vacuity as Obama is actually President. He just doesn’t seem to have the cache of a Truman, Roosevelt (either), Eisenhower, or Coolidge (he translated Homer) for that matter. Obozo is a media creation, plain and simple. And he was elected because he was half black, not despite it. He is without doubt the most worthless person to occupy the White House. It simply confirms something the late Malcolm Muggeridge once wrote. We live in an age he characterized as “a fathomless abyss of credulity.”

This could become a very costly decision for Obama...

The administration's primary target: top Afghanistan commander Gen. Stanley McChrystal, whose speech in London last week apparently caught administration officials off guard.

General McChrysrtal is no fool. He knew he was throwing his career in the toilet when he spoke up in public. He did not do this lightly. He did it for his men and country. It was and is that important to him.

Air support? With our worn out air planes? Right.

His arrogance and narcissism knows no bounds. He is easily the most despicable, goofball I’ve ever seen. He’s a scrawny, spoiled brat and doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. He cannot stand criticism, but no narcissist can.

Excuse me, but since MOST of US military are conservative-minded, Republican supporting and voting men and women, how can your ‘supposed’ concern be valid? Unless the DemocRats bring back the draft, what you suggested won’t happen.

I see a lot of anger and mistrust in that crowd. Or am I just imagining things?

“In the military he is still in charge of the military. McChrystal was wrong in speaking out.”

You are correct, of course. When McChrystal is relieved of command or otherwise sabotaged, we will at least have some indication that he spoke up for the troops—unlike the present WH ‘policies’ of no air support in difficult situations, no shooting of people in burqas, etc., etc., etc.

And we do have indications of WH ‘policy’ intent. What were those words? “If things get difficult, I will stand with the Muslims.”

The Dem need the US to fail. Just like Nam. We are ‘vile’ and ‘war isn't the answer.’ We are to be despised for our military strength and so must be punished and further reviled. Ah. How wonderful it must be for the Dem to have such power over life and death of the men in the field, whose ability to act is so curtailed as to invite casualties; and the Dem DO care so 'for the troops,' as we all know.

I have become ‘selective’ enough to know that I won't defend the Dem neighbor I have when the SHTF. If necessary, I can reduce just who I will defend on 1 hand. Can't we all say that, though.

One more thought... This 'Administration' and House of Reps 'sensibilities' indicate a 'policy' that the US is to be despised for our military strength, and so must be punished and further reviled. Ah. How wonderful it must be for the Dem to have such power over life and death of the men in the field, whose ability to act is so curtailed as to invite casualties; and the Dem DO care so 'for the troops,' as we all know.

The Kenyan Clown intends to destroy our military.
