I have Lady Slippers in my swampy area. Shhh don't tell any enviormentalist, they would throw me off my property...Some years there are hundreds, other years not so many...Northern Orchid...
I accidentally transplanted one into my back yard, when I dug up a fern for garden....I bought 2 ferns and they both died......Duh, I have a fern bog and they transplant and grown like crazy...Now I have to pull some out every year, they take over the jungle in my back yard...
Was very surprised when the following year I had a lady slipper in my backyard....
The pink ones are beautiful but I don't think they grown in the cold climates like Michigan...
Several years back one of the plant catalogs I get had Lady Slippers for sale, they learned how to hyberdize (sp.) them...Cost: 150.00 per plant...Now the price is down to 75.00 per plant...

I’d love a trip to his plant room.....

The only way to “unendanger” them is to let people raise them....Lots of animals on the endangered list, but none that we eat....just think endangered black angus, not this side of the grave, we all eat them..

LOL You don't need to know anyone, just get on what my father use to call "the sucker list"
I got called to duty in Federal Court in Downtown Detroit in the late 70's. Had to sit for 1 month in that one.. Before a year was up got a call for jury duty in Macomb county court...since it had been less than 1 year since Federal Court, I got sent home...
Then got called to Sterling Heights 41A district court, had to go for 2 weeks on that one...
In 2000 got called to Lapeer County court for jury duty...But the judge let me go...I wrote him (had to put it in writing) that I am a severe insomniac and I could be in court at 9am, but could not guarantee I would be awake at noon....I hope I am done being called...

I’ve been led to understand that US Fish and Wildlife Agents, or Game Wardens have more power than any other Federal Agent in the government. They can arrest and search without a warrant, and like the story says, never explain why. They can impound vehicles, houses or property on a whim. It’s scary when you think soon every government agent will have this power.

My totally favorite flower...My front yard during late may and June is gorgeous......the only plants I have than my son in law envy's.....I was surprised when I went to Alaska, that they have Lupine that are magnificent in all the ports of call we made.....

Mr. Norris and the overseas shippers who had packaged the flowers had failed to properly navigate the many, often irrational, paperwork requirements the U.S. imposed when it implemented an arcane international treatys new restrictions on trade in flowers and other flora.
Some really really bad law, and sizeable Federal bloat increase, typically comes into being as a result of our entrance into these seemingly innocuous 'treaties'. I read this the other day:

The Swat teams are just gearing up for all the work to be done by the Federales, when we get that wonderful non-tax, the VAT.

Are you saying that a SWAT raid was the only way to resolve this?

Why in Gods name does the Fish & Wildlife Service have a SWAT team? In case someone finds and collects a few bald eagle feathers from the ground. Yeah, that's a felony, don't ya know? And upon conviction the perp loses his right to vote and own firearms.
Gotta send in the SWAT team, first choice of tyrants.

'Federal SWAT Raid Over . . . Orchids'
A couple years back my wife got an Orchid plant as a present. She then had to go away for two weeks to accompany her 80 yo mom on a trip. Well, thanks to my 'green thumb', I killed the Orchid.
It was an 'undocumented' Orchid too.
Now I'm glad I killed that nasty weed.
