RE: Holiday salutations. Most of the secular Christians I know/know of say “Happy Holidays”. I usually don’t reply when I hear “Happy Holidays”.
All of the Jewish and Hindu folks I know say “Merry Christmas”. I take it as a sign of respect for other people’s faith (on the part of the non-Christians). I have no idea what’s going on with the secular Christians.
Italy’s my #1 destination should TSHTF here.

Two reasons why Norway is a great country - based upon GDP - is that they are the largest european exporter of OIL - next to the Russians and 2. they export more fish than any country - except China. Both of these industries could do very well in America if the enviro wackos got out of the way and a few republicans started talking about jobs and cash flow to the government from jobs and oil leases.
My nephew went there on vacation a few years ago. He really liked NZ better but enjoyed OZ. He said he had time for three movies each way. I flew non-stop from Cairo to New York in 1997 and that was a 12-hour flight. Way too long for me.
Right! No way do I want to do that journey. OTOH, if I ever want to get there, I’ll have to.
Cairo sounded like a real ordeal as well. Yuck...
