Who Is Making Foreign Policy ?

Charles Krauthammer observes:

You have the best generals in the world – McChrystal on counterterrorism and Petraeus on counterinsurgency – the best in the world who know exactly how this is done and who conclude you cannot do a counterterrorism strategy, only counterinsurgency. And all of a sudden he is relying on Biden, Rahm Emanuel, and himself to go against the advice of these experts? Hard to believe.

It is. (And don’t forget David Axelrod.) More than one conservative colleague has remarked upon the inordinate role that advisers who lack the necessary credentials and expertise have in shaping foreign policy in this administration. We are told that the notion of putting ”daylight” between the U.S. and Israel and undermining Bibi Netanyahu among Israeli voters was the brainchild of Emanuel and Axelrod. Axelrod in particular is regularly sent out to opine on foreign policy on the TV talk shows and plays a central role both at internal meetings and with outside groups to whom the administration is trying to pitch its foreign-policy gambits.

The reality is that the NSC makes most foreign policy. General Jones is the real power behind the throne on foreign policy.

I used to see White House photos with Carville, Begala and Stephanopolous attending policy meetings and wondered if that was proper. No one ever said anything about it so I figured having your campaign attack squad helping to make policy must be the norm.

Does it occur to anyone that Obama is holding the troops hostage until the Health Care bill is signed? Maybe there is a subtle ‘foreign policy’ message there. ‘Sign it and I will order the troop surge’.

just a thought.

Rahn Emanuelle is making all kinds of policy due to Obama being way way out of his leagure. 0bama looks much better when he runs with J-Zee and Beyonce or eats an ice cream cone at Oak Bluffs

Obama has plenty of non-Jews `laboring away for him but yes, the smarter and more noticeable ones are Jews. Lots of the top libertarians are Jews and same for our top capitalists if you want to go by the Forbes 400

Well let’s also remember, Obama sees the American flag as an symbol of oppression as he stated when he refused and protested the American Flag during the campaign.

Nowhere to even see a mention of Hildabeast. Isn't The Secretary of State supposed to be involved in formulating foreign policy?

Part of me wants to laugh, but the other part of me knows that amateur hour on the Potomac can't be good for the Country, not that Hilly would add anything.
