With every month's release of bad unemployment numbers, Americans must feel like Bill Murray's character in Groundhog Day. The 263,000 lost jobs in September and the rise in the unemployment rate to 9.8 percent was far worse than forecast. What's clear is that the stimulus bill as crafted has not worked. President Obama sold the stimulus as an immediate boost to the economy that would keep unemployment below eight percent. Rather than put the economy on sound footing, it has ushered in a new era of big government. Now the liberal voices in Congress will grow for yet another stimulus bill. That's the wrong answer. We can't afford anymore back-breaking debt that further hobbles our ability to remain competitive as a nation. The right answer is to fix the stimulus we have throw out the provisions that are not directly tied to job growth and substitute incentives that will stimulate the private sector and create jobs.
The father of RomneyCare can go pound sand!

I wonder why he didn't post this on his Facebook page? ROFL
“What’s clear is that the stimulus bill as crafted has not worked.”
On the contrary, it worked just fine. It spent an enormous amount of money that the government doesn’t have, and which will be billed to current and future taxpayers. What better way for a dyed-in-the-wool, committed Marxist ideologue to foment discontent and bring down the country he so very much despises?
Obama knows exactly what he’s doing; trouble is, there are millions of American ignoramuses who haven’t yet caught on.
The whole “Climate Change/Global Warming” scenario is fast becoming unraveled. Now is the time to push for increasing domestic oil production (Drill here , drill now). Once we shed the reliance on foreign oil (OPEC) our economy will rebound with a bang. Even Jimmy Carter recognized this. About the only time he was right on.
AMSTERDAM - The US government may announce another stimulus package in the first half of 2010 to revive economic growth and create jobs before mid-term elections, according to High Frequency Economics Ltd.
When MittBama opens his mouth...liberalism comes out....
How can Romney complain now after helping Obama
win the election?
But people “need they money”.

Well, it looks like NR has already made its choice. I guess that bag of cash Mitt gave them did wonders.
I sreious concerns right now, I was laid off in Aug when the govt decided to kill the NLOS Cannon program. I took my severence and payed my bills for Aug and Sept. I’ve applied for 38 jobs with different Defense Contractors, all of them are waiting for the FY 2010 Defense Authorization bill to be passed and signed before they fill their open positions.
It’s comming down to crunch time. What are me and my family supposed to do? I have applied for other jobs, but get the standard “Your over qualified for this position” response.
Any advice? I gotta pay my bills and mortgage.
So, I guess you are supporting another stimulus then?
Or you think the current stimulus is great, and should be spent exactly as it was passed?
Only TWO choices?
Those were the two things the article said about what Obama was doing wrong. The poster seemed to suggest he disagreed with the complaint, so I’m trying to figure out if either of those two were the things he was complaining about.
Some people seem to support a lot of crap just because people they don’t like are against it. I’m still thinking if Mitt did a commercial for KFC, some people here would become vegetarians.
I never understood the “overqualified” argument; why would an employer care, so long as I could convince them that I really would enjoy the position. I’ve always thought that some day I’d like to take a job I’m overqualified for, so I could enjoy it more.
Anyway, presuming you don’t want to move to the DC area, I don’t have a suggestion for you; I can’t imagine anybody who has a clearance not being able to get a job here in the shadow of Washington DC.
Conversly; if Mitt did a commercial for KFC, some vegetarian MORMONs would eat the flesh from a dead bird.
The converse may be true - that you'd become bored quickly and want to move on; thereby costing the employer yet another learning curve period of lack of efficiency for the next new hire for that position.
I find that the older I get; the more over qualified I am for most ANY position.
HINT to people looking for work:
You don't put EVERYTHING on a resume, so leave parts off that would 'over qualify' you.
