SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced Tuesday that she is pursuing plans to remove some captured illegal aliens from prison-like or jail-like circumstances and put them in converted hotels and nursing homes.
To better manage detention operations, ICE will develop a risk assessment and custody classification, which will enable detainees to be placed in an appropriate facility, DHS said in a statement. ICE will pursue detention strategies based on assessed risk and reduce costs by exploring the use of converted hotels, nursing homes and other residential facilities.
Napolitano explained her departments thinking at a press conference at Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Our detention system has some who have committed crimes, others whose crimes under federal law is a misdemeanor, others who have as I said before not committed a crime at all, Napolitano said."

Uhhhh... so being here illegally is not a crime? What the!!!
Just buying the time until full amnesty is granted.
She is crazy as a loon. Why don’t we move her into a jail cell that has been vacated by an illegal?
Hotels and nursing homes is going to save money? Besides the facility rentals, there are security issues. Even low risk in-custodies have to be guarded. She’s going to deploy prison guards to nursing homes and hotels? What about the cost of retrofitting these places? I expect ostammer’s buddies are scurrying around buying up these facilities on the quiet and the cheap so they can get a government windfall.
As always, follow the money.
“Some haven’t committed a crime at all”? “Butch” Napolitano, you ignore the law. Illegal entry IS a crime, you commie scum.
That stupid cow! Foreign nationals coming here and staying illegally IS a crime!
Hola, Senor, and welcome to the No Bar Motel!
300 hotels in default in California...Hotel defaults, foreclosures rise in California
Actually, it is only an infraction, not a crime, unless they have been previously deported, then returned...and ICE used to, and may still still, give them every chance to “voluntarily” leave without judicial action so as to even minimize that number.
It is a very sick travesty.
They don’t read the bills they sign, why should they read the law?

Considering the fact that she heads the Department of Homeland Security should make any rational person shudder. Aside from the catastrophic policy decisions the false messiah has made to date, the one thing that strikes me are the people he has surrounded himself with. Malcontents, incompetents, burnt out academics, uber feminazis, black nationalists, and the hits just keep coming! However the real psychopaths live in the White House.
Bringing a bit of diversity to our neighborhoods.
