I've always liked and admired Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn.
In fact, I think she has so many of the ingredients we naturally associate with leadership – good communication skills, attractiveness, courage, convictions – that I have speculated more than once she could be presidential timber.
However, I've found a chink in the armor.
Apparently, she, too – like so many of her Republican colleagues in Congress – is deathly afraid of the Barack Obama eligibility issue.
Check out her recent appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live."
Do you believe Bachmann hasn't heard much from her constituents about the Obama eligibility issue?
All I can say to that is she must not be listening.

It’s all part of a big game. I believe that they are staying away from this issue because it is a distraction from the real issues. Last time this issue got too much traction from the left. Right now we need to concentrate on the big things that are coming down the road. Once there is concrete proof, they will support the birthers. Right now, they can’t afford to be called crazy.

I think congress and the administration in general, really don’t want to set a precedent by allowing regular citizens to be able to force them into doing things, outside of elections.

If they go on record claiming he wasn’t born here, and the long form is eventually produced and shows he was, they are afraid their credibility will not ever be regained.
I wouldnt put the trap thing past the marxists, but on the other hand, being a non-public figure, I have no hesitation in saying I think he is concealing the long form and other records for specific reasons- that he really is a Manchurian potus, and the NWO doesn’t want the public know his real background and country of origin.

I remember several months back, every mention of the birth certificate was met with the words “crazy”, “tin foil helmet”,etc.. I just dont think they ca effectively fight this healthcare business with those labels. I am a birther, I feverishly await every bit of news on the subject, but I think we need to find something so concrete that the supporters can “come out”. Just like Acorn, I think this is an issue the public must tackle first, then they will help us.
I have a feeling there are already internal investigations occurring in the CIA. They may be blackballed by the FedGuv, but they work with much more than I’m sure even the WH knows about. Piss off the information Gods and be subject to their powers.

I think they are fighting for the Independent voters. Our minds are mand up, but the only way we can win 2010 is to get the independent on our side. I think this is one of the issues that left enjoys using against conservatives. In order to effectively win over the voters that went democratic they must pick their fights. Im afraid this fight isn’t one of those right now. After 2010 I think this will become a much, much bigger deal.

In other words, the court fight could last beyond the legal length of his term. Note that I qualified my description of the length of his term.
That politician's point is that we should put all of our effort into keeping Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, from getting his agenda into law.
Fighting in court for 3 or more years with the distinct possibility that the birthers would lose is a misuse of resources.

Well look at what happened to bondholders in the GM and Chrysler deal.
The Supreme Court's ruling in that matter was unfathomable to anyone who understands contract law and the purpose of the bond market.
That said, I do think the birther thing is important. But it should be left to history. We have urgent battles that must be won within the next few weeks. There is no way there can be a determination of the birther questions in time to disrupt legislation now on the floor of congress.

The problem is proving it. If they cannot prove it, they cannot take it on. Believing it is not enough. Have you tried arguing this point with someone who doesn’t think it’s true? Did you win them over? I never have. And usually the argument ends with a “crazy birther” accusation. I don’t think that the republicans can afford to be stereotyped that way right now. remember what happened to Lou Dobbs? Glenn Beck? Hannity? They all were forced to drop this. Do you really think that the politicians would fare any better?

Anyone who allows the leftists to frame this debate should avoid taking a stand. They want to ask whether someone believes Obama was born in Hawaii, or not. Republicans should not respond to that, but should say that the state of Hawaii says it has Obama’s original BC, and that all Obama has do is pay $10.00 for a copy which he could release to the public. Why doesn’t he pay the $10.00 and release the copy of the original from 1961?
It will turn the interview into a complete Birther interview and not allow the Republican to ask about Jobs, Debt, Healthcare, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, N.Korea, Czars etc.
It is a stall, delay, redirect tactic by State Media.

I don't think that is going to happen. It would be nice but I just expect it.
OTOH, there are two ways that we can win this game by 2012 if not sooner. We could win in the courts. Even if overturned by a higher court this would be an attention-getter. But we can also win if even a few states reassert themselves and demand proof in 2012 that Obama actually meets the Constitutional requirements for the Presidency. Right now all the states need is Nancy Pelosi telling them so. That's clearly not worth much. That could change in states that have clear Republican (or patriotic) majorities. Could happen. I hope it happens.
The birth certificate movement would have NOTHING to gain from her support...while she risks everything.
In politics, perception is everything. It matters more how one actually APPEARS to the voters than reality.
Would she want to appear as a "nut case" to those voters who have that opinion of so-called "birthers"...and if so, why?
There's absolutely nothing she can do about the birth certificate issue so why in the world should she get tangled up in it to the total DELIGHT of Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman?

I personally think there is about a 50% chance that this is a big red herring and the Obama people are waiting to spring the "punch line" on us at the worst possible moment.
This has all the earmarks of a carefully orchestrated set-up and there are people in the Obama camp that are right now trying to conceal big grins on their faces.

So long as that fifth column enemy remains active that enemy will use any scrap of data to discredit those opposed to the sweeping away of the Old Republic.

You are not making sense to me. The whole point of Pelosi vetting him was to get him into power without him being vetted. They wanted us to be in this situation, and they did a fine job of making it happen.
I hope “kellynla” reads this post. You are 100% right. What you wrote is very true. It is the media that dropped the ball on this one. It was most likely done on purpose, and orchestrated by “the powers that be”.
