I am all for health care reform also, just like Bob Dole I also don’t want a Government option.

I want tort reform, I want access to out-of-state insurance companies and plans, I want medicare fraud found and the people who do it jailed, I want etc, etc, etc...

I want a lot of things, but most of all I don’t want anyone telling me what I can and can’t do who is more worried about one small cross section of our voting society and ignore the majority of hard working people like myself.

We DO need health care reform--just not a public option. The fraud and corruption is atrocious. Ex: Medicare paying for electric chairs at 5 thou a pop for many people who can afford them. That is not all--they can get a new one every 5 years. Yeah, they are mostly poor; but many can afford to smoke. Sacrifice a little something you WANT to get something you need? Naaah! Get it FREE from the govt.

Dole states NO public option. So where is the beef?

Yeah! Yeah! I know he was a sorry candidate, like McCain. Both thought that as vets of military and senate, it was their time. Both failed to recognize the wildly leftist will of libs in the Dem party and wanted to campaign as Mr. Nice Guy doing business as usual.

Hold your fire!

Dole says we need health care reform. We do.

We do NOT need/want Obamacare. Dole isn't supporting Obamacare!

If we didn't need health care reform then what is Cong. Paul Ryan's plan all about?

Is he still alive? Anyway, the article doesn’t justify the headline.

Does it never work the other way? Are people of the left just stubborn? Loyal? Scared? Smart enough to just shut up when they support the opposition? Why do we always find McCain, Gingrich, Dole, Powell, Bush one and two and Jeb, etc. etc. etc. teaming up with the opposition point of view? There is some reason that the reverse seems to never happen. Lieberman is the only one I can think of. Maybe I just have amnesia. Even when it is obvious the the right is right, like about bussing, they will never, ever, ever say you were right, I was wrong...or even “you have a point, sort of.” WHY? It leaves me with the nagging feeling that I am really just WRONG but have not become enlightened enough yet to see it. That I will eventually become wise and in time come to see that the Left is correct. These public figures seem to never drift from left to right. Maybe the “R” team is just going to have to find a way of thowing more eloquent cocktail parties.

The title of the post is clearly misleading. Dole does not say that he supports Obamacare. Rather, he says he opposes the public option.

Dole only says we need health care reform. I would guess that most who have incurred significant illnesses would agree with him. This does not require a public option, however.

I don't pretend for a second to know what is going on in Washington DC and the politicians.

I do know one thing. My nose has picked up the most vile putrid rotting smell coming from there. They not only stink to high heavens; they are the real disease.

Let's fence them in right where they are; so they we won't have to smell that incredibly sick odor that they emit.

Dole shows his true colors. People can see through a phony, and this is why he lost.

Dole you GHW Bush, and McCain are traitorous LOSERS. No body here cares a wit what you say or think. Go hang out with Arlen Specter in the RINO hall of shame.

Again, he opposes the actual “ObamaCare” legislation, all he is saying is that reform is needed.

The media is taking ANY suggestion that “reform” is needed, and claiming it is support for ObamaCare.

And the conservatives are helping by accepting this media construction, and attacking people for suggesting reform.

Meanwhile, the Republicans have dozens of health care reform measures written that they can’t get introduced in congress — so it’s clear everybody is on board that there are things government is screwing up with health care, that need to be fixed.
