The true miracle is that it has been accepted as normal that politicians and bureaucrats have the power and the duty (it seems), to give away taxpayer money, with the taxpayer having no say whatsoever in the process.

The same type of thing happened in Milwaukee last year when FEMA was in town handing out loans and grants for people who had been displaced by flooding.
A huge mob of people descended on the social services office trying to get non-existent free money.
This sort of activity sounds like someone is really pushing the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Riots coming in Detroit? Hussein is licking his “martial law declaring” lips at the thought. And as all of the rioters will be black, the same rules of engagement currently in effect in Afghanistan will apply: law enforcement/national guard members will be expected to sacrifice themselves or their comrades rather than harm a “civilian” (Obama voter). And with news of rioting in Detroit, you can bet Chicago won’t be far behind. But good news could come from it all—riots in DC might force congress to adjourn and head for the hills! Our rights would be relatively safe for several days!

Here is an idea. Most of the old abandoned homes are falling apart. But some might be repairable.... have these homeless go through the abandoned quarter and choose one and the city can GIVE it to them for free, plus a generous stimulus check to fix it up. Then all they have to do is find a job and pay property taxes.

Detroit had a housing surplus and not enough people living in them once the great exodus took place. Thousands and thousands of homes were literally abandoned. The city couldn't give them away.
Now they need housing grants??

I have an even better idea. Remember the program “WPA”??? I don’t think that was such a bad idea. In South Charleston, West Virginia there is a football stadium called “Oaks Field” that still stands and was built by WPA!!! Really I think it was a excellent and men came out daily and were willing to work! (notice I said work) Well these people are homeless, so we restart WPA and let them build their own apartments (housing projects) condos, whatever. Maybe if they had to work, and build it for a change, it might make a difference. The key word here is work, and getting them to do it.
If whats left of the economy implodes, I expect yesterdays Panic in Detroit to look like a church recital compared to future riots over just basic necessities.
