A solar system such as ours could evolve; our living world provably could not. Other than that the stuff which Talbott and Thornhill et. al. are talking about is basically religion-neutral, other than for the possibility of viewing some of it as describing the "how" in some of the bible stories. The basic reality is that God does not work outside of the laws of physics; if you want gross violations of mathematical and physical laws, you need to be talking to the evolutionites, they specialize in that.

The moon was most likely formed by a collision with a Mars sized object when the earth was still molten. The cores merged to form the earth's current core and la large amount of the mantle formed the moon. This is why the moon's face is locked toward earth and the earth's axis is tilted , causing the seasons.

This stuff around Saturn was likely caused by a smaller more recent collision.

Uranus had a big collision It's axis is tilted on it's side. It's pole is horizontal, of course if you're on Uranus , our pole is messed up.

Very easy explanation. There is a lot of crap floating around up there.

I hope you didn't spend too much time giving "Wendy's" ideas much thought. As most people here know, "Wendy" is the rather infamous, many-times-banned Ted Holden. He's a harmless loon, often good for some laughs, but even the most ardent creationist will find his views a bit, um, unorthodox to say the least.

This is 14 years old, but it's still good. Yes, the answers that appear to be jokes are Ted's actual beliefs if you poke around the Net long enough. Ol' Ted's been around.
