Bishops put race above values of God - ALAN KEYES
WorldNetDaily ^ | October 9, 2009 | Alan Keyes

In these portentous times, there are days when I feel as if I've strayed into the gloomy bits in a colorized version of Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life." In that Christmastime TV favorite, "an angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed."

I definitely had that feeling this week as I read an article about a Vatican meeting of Roman Catholic bishops with the headline "Africa Bishops Speak of Obama in Religious Terms." According to that report:

The archbishop of Kinshasa, Congo, Monsignor Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya, told the formal synod itself that it would be wise to not ignore what he called a "primordial event" in recent times.

"If the election of a black as head of the United States of America was a divine sign and a sign from the Holy Spirit for the reconciliation of races and ethnic groups for peaceful relations ... this synod and the universal church would gain from not ignoring this primordial event of contemporary history which is far from being a banal game of political alliances," he said in his speech.

As a black, pro-life Catholic, it's hard to express the many levels on which this pronouncement tends to repudiate my very existence.

Those African bishops have embarrassed themselves.

Those bishops speak for themselves. They do not speak for God or the Church.

The support of nationalized health care by leaders in the Catholic Church and a one world government renders them moot in my mind, and a threat to our US Constitution.

Those African bishops have embarrassed themselves.

That may be true of the Catholic Bishops of Africa but you've gotta give credit to Africa's *Anglican* Bishops. They're the ones who are reminding European and North American Anglicans what Christ and His teachings were *really* about.

I don't understand how the relatively conservative African bishops can ignore Obama's radicalism. But then, I've never understood how America's Black chr*stians can be such fanatical allies of abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, militant secularism, etc. I don't get this. I don't understand. Do they not know at all?

And please don't say it's "because he's Black." Alan Keyes and Clarence Thomas are much blacker and they're considered "Oreos" and "Uncle Toms." Why does skin color count for liberals but not conservatives?

Maybe His Holiness needs to “pull rank” on them. It’s also almost time to pull out It’s a Wonderful Life.

And it is Anglican missions from Africa that are bringing back the Gospel to the US to attempt to correct the Episcopal Church and their decision to render themselves essentially apostate and even Heretical.

Those same Anglican missions are bringing the Gospel where the ECUSA has failed for decades.

One sure false prophet test is to question his stance on life. If he is not 100% pro-life, he fails the test.

The Anglicans keep the faith, the tradition and the path on a straight line as Roman Catholics experiment with diversions into pop-evangelism, open-doorness, abandonment of tradition, minority worship (false idols), and lax services.

The same test works for politicians, of course. It’s almost infallible.

“But how can the faithful see the elevation of such people to power as a sign from God and the Holy Spirit for good, when the words of Scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit clearly declare a nation’s subjection to evil government to be a sign of God’s judgment and the harbinger not of peace but of restless woe and painful suffering? “

And there is the quote of the day .
Until this nation wakes up and turns back to God we will be under this judgment.
And the answer to our problems is not in man , it is clearly written here.

If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Notice who this verse is directed to.
It is not directed at the atheist .
We are where we are because to many Christians have turned the back on the “Word” and have decided that social justice is more important. If Americas Christians do not repent we will find ourselves in bondage.

Well, you'd certainly have plenty of fodder. It pretty much describes our entire political class.

Alan Keyes writes in such a way to indicate to me he has a better grasp of ethics than Obama and the African Bishops combined. What are the African bishops smoking?
