Steal this! (Canadian study shows that people who buy green products tend to lie and steal more)

A Canadian study shows that people who buy green products tend to lie and steal more than those who don't:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toronto, October 6, 2009 -Those lyin', cheatin' green consumers.

Just being around green products can make us behave more altruistically, a new study to be published in a forthcoming issue of Psychological Science has found.

But buying those same products can have the opposite effect. Researchers found that buying green can lead people into less altruistic behaviour, and even make them more likely to steal and lie than after buying conventional products. Buying products that claim to be made with low environmental impact can set up "moral credentials" in people's minds that give license to selfish or questionable behavior.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The answer to the dilemma seems clear: Steal green products only and then lie about it.

Not surprising.

They are more likely to be part of the dingbat entitlement culture.

Considering the Green Movement is founded on lies, and engages in theft of private ownership and money, I’d say this is hardly surprising.

What a crock! I have a new John Deere lawn mower. The guy down the road said he didn’t want it anymore. Honest!

It's already been documented that Republicans are more altruistic than Democrats, and tip better.

totally believable!

Liberal Morality is defined by your positions on the issues and not what you actually do. Bill Clinton could get away with murder so long as he had the right positions on abortion and the like.

That’s because they’re probably liberals and we all know that they lie...

I was in Whole Foods the other day and watched several folks dip their hands into the bulk food bins and remove a handful for snacking while shopping. When I told my husband, he replied “what do you expect, they’re all lefties.”

Just part of redistribution, it belongs to everybody so it belongs to me. Did you see the story about the farmer with a long time roadside stand that had to shut down because most people just took his produce from his honor stand this year. I’m pretty sure it was up in New Hampshire.

"Just part of redistribution, it belongs to everybody so it belongs to me."

You sound awfully familiar with the concept, bucko. LOL
You're correct, it does...just an extension of the attitude that'll bury us all in the end.

"Did you see the story about the farmer with a long time roadside stand that had to shut down because most people just took his produce from his honor stand this year. I’m pretty sure it was up in New Hampshire."

Missed it, thank God. Can't say I'm surprised, can you?
