Democrats may lose two state governors' races

CAMDEN, New Jersey (Reuters) – Democrats running for governor in New Jersey and Virginia face possible defeat in November, despite strong showings by President Barack Obama in those states last year, in elections that could render the first judgments on the Obama presidency.

New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, a close Obama ally, is struggling to win re-election in the face of a strong challenge by Republican Christopher Christie.

The Obama administration has turned out in support of Corzine, a wealthy former Goldman Sachs executive.

At a rally in Atlantic City this week, Vice President Joe Biden said it was "critically important" that Corzine is re-elected.

The Corzine campaign adapted the popular Obama slogan, hanging a banner next to Biden reading: "Yes we can -- again.

In Virginia, the only other U.S. state with a gubernatorial contest this year, Democrat Creigh Deeds has been losing so much ground in the polls to Republican Bob McDonnell that he has blamed the Obama administration's $787 billion economic stimulus plan for his low popularity.

A Washington Post poll published on Friday gave McDonnell a commanding lead of 53 percent to 44 percent, with less than a month to go until election day.

"Frankly, a lot of what's going on in Washington has made it very tough," Deeds told Politico newspaper. "We had a very tough August because people were just uncomfortable with the spending."

Dems are like little kids.. DaDDY DaDDy, Buy this for me,, This too..

A lot of politicos will go down becuz they just don't get it. You don't spend money you don't have, and if you do, you don't let politicians get their grubby little dirty hands on it to blow.

I guess it’s too late for the the Nobel Peace Prize committee to influence the election by giving the award to Deeds. They already shot all their fireworks in support of the Holy O.

I can see VA going Repubbie, but NJ is so corrupt with massive voter fraud and Corzine having the backing of Wall Street friends with $$$, makes it hard to defeat a DEM there. I bet ACORN registered so many duplicates and phony voters that he might be insured a win. It would take a really BIG turnout to unseat him.

PPP is run by liberal hacks. I wouldn’t believe them any more than I would beleive their dear leader, Hussein Obama.

Thanks, but I did my own research. PPP is run by liberal hacks who endorsed Hussein. That’s all I need to know.

Corzine is in big trouble.
When the lefties at Quinipac say there's trouble the real internal polls must be real bad.
Any incumbent in the low 40s this late in a race has major major problems.

It’s New Jersey though. There will be plenty of fraud to make up any deficit. Even without fraud, I doubt they could bring themselves to change. They’re just way too ‘intellectual’ there.

I'm hoping, probably pointlessly, that a Republican victory in VA and especially in the Dem stronghold of NJ will serve as wake up call to the Dem senators and congressmen that are up for reelection in 2010 and enough of them will realize that a vote for obamacare and cap’n tax will be the end of their political career that they will start running from Obama en mass.

Ohaha is desperate to win the two state races---his agenda depends on it.....now that he's a (gag) Peace Prizer and 2016 Olympic Games loser.

The NY Times reported:

(a) every TV ad Corzine puts on the air is being screened by the Obama's WH team.

(b) The governor’s aides give the WH daily briefings.

(c) Obama’s pollsters have taken over for Mr. Corzine’s polling team, and,

(d) White House operatives are on the ground for everything from internal strategy sessions to secret, obscure pep rallies with Latino supporters.

====================================================

THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR Ohaha hid $14.5B federal stimulus in Jersey. According to an investigative news report, the billions have simply disappeared.....never to be seen....never used for the muni projects the WH heralded. Both Obama and Biden have also visited Corzine (Ohaha put Biden in charge of the stimulus dispersal).

We can safely conclude Ohaha hid $14.5B stimulus in Jersey to aid Jonny’s reelection. $14.5B is a lot of walking-around "street money." Will buy Jon Boy all the hyphenated voting blocs he needs to get back in.

Corzine has a "Peruvian PAC" endorsing him---plus latino invaders from Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Spain (all said to be in NJ---or being trucked in election day----all voting for Corzine with several identities).

Let’s not forget Corzine was sucking up to 2008 candidate Hillary ---and even offered to fund primary do-overs for her (that she lost when states broke DNC rules). But when push came to shove, faster than you can say “I’m a loser with Hillary,” at the DNC convention, Corzine gave all of NJ’s primary votes to Obama (even though Hillary won the NJ primary).

As for Christie, Giuliani's campaign manager is engineering this fiasco for Christie. If Christie knows what's good for him---he'd fire his campaign manager at once.

2008 Rudy is infamous for spending $60 million and getting only one delegate (that he shared). Rudy said he was "saving himself" for Florida, campaigned 63 days straight, and came in a distant third. Loser.

At this point I will be surprised IF any ‘conservative’ is elected to state wide offices.... The voter registrations in so many states are so polluted that I suspect there will not be a honest election for decades.

Now with ACORN busted open---we may get investigations into their registrations.

Course illegals’ multiple registrations under different identities are still a problem.
