Sunday Talk Show thread is up!
Graham and McCain again....
If you want ot be on this ping list, let me know...
Looks like Mitch and Saxby are the only real Republicans on this week. Steve Wynn is an interesting choice.
The usual waste of time psychobabblers are on again. Sunday morning moronacracy at work. I am heading out to the flats for some Trout fishing as soon as the tide turns.
“John McCain, R-Ariz”
That SOB is on every week. Won’t he ever shut up and get out of the way?
GACK!!!
What a lineup.
Morning, Alas!
About as good as the NFL lineup today as well.
Somewhere, in some village there is a missing persons report out for their, well, you know what...
I recorded SNL last evening and watched it early a.m.
Wow, did they fall down, considering the potential amount of material.
Their skit was Obama announcing his winning the lottery and it wasn’t even funny.
So much potential, and they blew it, considering that their skit from last week became quick classic.
I think last night’s skit was meant to be an entirely milquetoast, suck-up, walk-back of their ‘he hasn’t been taking liberal action fast enough laugher’. Poor Obama, he can’t help it if he’s such a natural winner and they makes others envious!
Brown’s or Lion’s game? Hard to choose.
O hell, I’ll just watch Brett Farve.
Good Morning All.......
Thanks Alas and good morning everyone.
Pizza, it's not just for breakfast anymore.
I’ve been a Brown’s fan since 1960. I’m still waiting....
Evidently these two are doing their best to make our skin crawl as often as possible.
Jennifer Granholm (D-MI) lies prostrate at the altar of U.S. President and Nobel Laureate Barak Hussein Obama. She bathes in the fortunes bestowed by Him upon her peoples.
p.s. Hopefully, I have included all of the required titles of reverence required when referencing The Won.
Is this idiot finally going to pull a Specter and join the Democrats? This moron has signed on to Kerry's Cap and Tax fraud.
Just think about it. Joe Scarborough got an email ordering him to stop being an a$$hole. Can you imagine the message that SNL received about their skit last week.
They are probably wishing it was only a horse’s head in the bed of the producer.
Ha! Beat me Johnnie. But I posted a link, which took longer!
Are you in Georgia yet?
Saw the SNL skit too. Agree, it fell on the floor like a lead balloon. Appeared to be too painful to complete the skit, thus it ended abruptly.
Nowadays? People just yawn. We're at war; our troops are getting killed while being told to ease up on the poor enemy, and meanwhile the Left wants to use them as a grand social experiment to promote homosexuality.
And good Americans are accepting this?
I’ve really become dispirited lately. Seems as if we are on a downward spiral that will neve end.
Thanks for the ping AB! Dancing around the Nobel Farce Prize should be interesting....

Ten Myths About the Bush Tax Cutsand the Facts
Myth #6: Raising tax rates is the best way to raise revenue.
Fact: Tax revenues correlate with economic growth, not tax rates.

I see Clinton and Gates will be on. Their mission: to justify the Peace Prize and make Obama look like he has good reasons for delaying on Afghanistan.
I am telling you guys, that Cap and Trade is not only going to increase the cost of energy. It is going to create massive federal bureaucracy in order to implement it.
I read quite a bit of the bill the House passed. They are going to be setting up “environmental centers” at 10 universities throughout the country. They are going to rate appliances and give bonuses for selling them and to consumers for buying the most efficient.
They are going to establish HOUSING INSPECTORS who will rate homes on energy efficiency, beginning with new homes and eventually covering ALL buildings. You eventually won’t be able to sell your home without an energy rating.
The bill also makes provision for the DOE to establish limits on acceptable wattage for ALL light fixtures. I mean ALL, from factory shop lights to chandeliers. If you want brighter light for some reason (like...oh...SURGERY) you will have to file for an exemption with the Secretary of Energy.
They are even going to establish a “Department of Green Buildings” within the Energy Department.
While everyone has been watching this health care bill, the Cap and Trade is just as intrusive and full of shameless spending.
ANY Republican who supports it is flat out nuts!
Meet the Depressed: Sens. Carl Levin, (Alpha RAT)-Mich., and Lindsay Graham, (Useless effemi-RINO)-S.C.; retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey; retired Gen. Richard Myers, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
FASCIST NATION: Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Jack Reed, (RAT)-R.I.
THE SWEEK: Sens. Dianne Feinstein, (useful idiot RAT)-Calif., and Saxby Chambliss, (hmmmm...)R-Ga.; Rep. James McGovern, (RAT)-Mass.; retired Army Gen. Jack Keane.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sens. John McCain, (embarassing RINO)-Ariz., Debbie Stabenow, (RAT)-Mich , Anita Dunn, White House shill; Dr. Anne Schuchat, (A guest)
Once again...barely watchable, except for clandestine code messaging from the left. Get out your Captain Comet decoder rings.

Tax Policy, Economic Growth and American Families
http://www.house.gov/jec/growth/taxpol/taxpol.htm
Real Revenue Growth Under Reagan Out-Paced Bush/Clinton
Contrary to the claims of Democrats, tax cuts under Reagan were not the cause of persistent budget deficits. As Figure 3 shows, real revenue grew much faster in the Reagan recovery than in the Bush/Clinton recovery. Under Reagan, federal revenue, in inflation-adjusted dollars, grew at an average annual rate of 4.8 percent, compared to 3.2 percent growth under Bush/Clinton.[5] After six years of economic expansion, real revenues under Reagan (with tax cuts) grew a cumulative 32.6 percent. Even with two tax increases, Bush/Clinton revenues are projected to increase just over 20 percent in six years, a feat Reagan accomplished two years quicker.
The reason for this is simple: The growth of revenues is tied to growth of the economy. Tax cuts stimulate economic growth, which in turn means that incomes are higher than they would be otherwise. Conversely, tax increases hinder growth and constrain economic expansion. Thus, revenue during the Reagan recovery actually grew faster than revenue in the Bush/Clinton recovery, despite the fact that Reagan instituted tax cuts while Bush and Clinton raised taxes.

So, this is old news, but don’t be bothered with the evidence, tax increases to follow a Democrat sweep of government
LOL. I was reading the post and said to myself that someone besides Miss Marple has read this thing.
Then I got to the bottom. LOL.
I watched it last night...total bomb. I have never seen one of their skits so unfunny and it didn’t even make sense.
I think the pressure was put on.
If Fox had a half hour SNL, they would blow them out of the water..
Nope. Still stuck in Minne-so-cold
This really shows how the MSM kow tow to the LIbs and Lefties...they could have nailed him and made him ridiculous...but then you can’t do that with Obozo, the Dear Leader.
Mitch Daniels will be worth watching. He has a dry sense of humor and was really ticked at the Cap and Trade bill.
I would like to point out that Indiana is NOT running a deficit. We are in the black.
Of course, Reagan and Clinton weren’t the horror that Obama is on government, spending and taxes, but they also had leaps in technological productivity goosing the economy. So far there’s none in sight on that, and no hope on the government, spending and taxes until it might be slowed by a Republican congress in ‘10 and turned around by a Palin presidency in ‘12. Alas, the dollar should be lost by then, and a turnaround will probably be harder trudging in the teens than it was in the ‘80s or ‘90s.
LOL! You know, I am beginning to think I am one of the few people in the country that read it.
Maybe I should see if someone wants to interview ME!
Thank you again, AB...it must take a great amount of dedication and courage to post these ridiculous “panels “...ha.
Why don’t Graham and McCain get their own show...they could call it “RHINOS LIVE”..AND LIST IT AS A COMEDY SHOW.
No, they were closer to beatifying him for his midas touch.
You make a good point. The constraints Obama is going to place on the economy with Cap and Trade, Health Care, and assorted other regulations is also going to make it pretty certain that there will be no advances in technology.

I think you’re right, unfortunately. Innovation in general is being pretty well tamped down.
One version of the Cap & Trade bill provided that you couldn't sell your house until the energy efficiency rating was brought up to some government standard. Nuts! Is that still in there?
I can attest to the fact that in very hot and humid climates (e.g. Florida), the most energy efficient air conditioners do.not.work. They can't handle the required workload. Within weeks of paying a premium for the super-duper energy efficient a/c, my ceiling caved in from the condensation built up in the air ducts. That was five years ago. Since then, the energy efficient switch has been turned off.

Oddly enough, the second story never mentions the NHS by name. Go figger.
