Climate Change: As a Colorado Rockies playoff game is snowed out, scientists report that Arctic sea ice is thickening and Antarctic snow melt is the lowest in three decades. Whatever happened to global warming?
Al Gore wasn't there to throw out the first snowball, er, baseball, so he might not have noticed that Saturday's playoff game between the Colorado Rockies and the Philadelphia Phillies was snowed out — in early October. The field should have been snow-free just as the North Pole was to be ice-free this year.
It seems that ice at both poles hasn't been paying attention to the computer models. The National Snow and Ice Data Center released its summary of summer sea-ice conditions in the Arctic last week and reported a substantial expansion of "second-year ice" — ice thick enough to have persisted through two summers of seasonal melting.

Just watch, energy policy will become the Achilles Heel of the Obama Administration. This will take a few years but it will be the biggest reason why they lose the election in 2012, when gasoline prices will move up over $4.50 in the summer and then stay there. The Obamites will push for “windfall profits” taxes on oil producers sometime in 2011 when oil moves over $100 per barrel, and that anti-business rhetoric, CO2 regulation, and any actual tax increases will just drive prices higher.
When people cannot afford to heat their homes in the face of global cooling and skyrocketing energy costs...
When old folks are found frozen to death in their homes on a regular basis...
When children burn to death in homes heated with inadequate wood stoves...
Even then they will blame co2 emissions and continue to freeze people to achieve their ends of making the human existence as primitive and uncomfortable as possible.
Is there any doubt that if we had signed on to, and adhered to Kyoto in 1998; all the enviro-whackos would be heralding events like these as proof positive that they were right and had reversed global warming. Of course they’d also use that as the reason they needed impose even more restrictions.
If you do this, then you will know that snow, freezing and thickening ice are Doubleplusgood for Global Warming.

When confronted by evidence of this 10 year global cooling episode, my poor enviro-wacko sister sputtered that this was a known effect of global warming! There is no hope for these people.
We don’t need facts or scientific evidence when we have the dogma of St. Algore.
This Global warming has been the biggest hoax of all time.
Some Questions I have are:
How is the Mainstream democrat/liberal/Marxist media going to spin these cold temperatures to keep the populace fooled into believing that we are causing global warming with our industries, coal power plants, SUVS, when there the Earth is rapidly cooling?
Will the public finally realize that the mainstream media has been lying through their teeth about global warming all this time ? And so then the public will realize also that all of the mainstream media “news” is just lies and propaganda (actually mostly Marxist propaganda) disguised as news?
The Mainstream Marxist/Democrat Media and Democrats/Marxists had to create a fake,bogus, imaginary hobgoblin called Global Warming to demonize capitalism because they could not find any REAL downsides to industry/capitalism. So of course a liberal/socialist came up with this lame brained theory of the green house effect that stated that a main byproduct of capitalism/industry , CO2 was destroying the planet. How convenient for Socialists to discover and create fake science and continuously report that capitalism is destroying the planet.
Its one reason I wish they would pass cap-n-trade. Pass it before 2010. It will destroy the dems. Even the poor democratic base know what's what when their electric bills go up 400% and their me-maw dies of heat exhaustion...or is frozen to death because she can't afford to cool/heat her home.
Let them explain to their voters why we all have to give till it hurts (or kills) to save mother earth.
This...of course...assumes the GoP can string together a coherant arguement to fight them though...
There is no global warming. Global temperatures dropping prove that. There instead is a very rapid global cooling underway that has been going on for several years.
Hey, democrats/liberals , since you want to save the planet then buy a big Ford F 150 truck or SUV and drive a lot of miles so that CO2 will rise and then the Earth will warm to battle this global cooling? Oh that's right in the near future you won't be able to buy big cars anymore because democrats in Congress banned them in the near future like they banned the light-bulb all to save us from something that is just a bogus, fabrication of socialists, global warming.

I don’t think cap & trade would cause much of an increase in electric bills by 2010 even if it passes. It would probably cause a significant increase in electric bills by 2012. But there are some relatively easy reductions in CO2 output that can result from replacing coal-fired power plants with natural gas power plants, and some CO2 reductions already in the works resulting from higher fuel economy requirements for motor vehicles. So the real pain in utility bills from cap and trade wouldn’t hit until after the next presidential election. There probably would be a lot of pain from business closing down plants and moving them offshore before 2012, and that could be a huge election issue in 2012.
The oil market is where the trap is being set for the Obamites in 2012. There’s only abut 7% excess capacity right now at the bottom of this recession so that can easily drop to 2-3% by 2012, which could drive oil prices up over $120 and gasoline over $4.50. If the Dems force a “windfall profits” tax through congress on oil producers, that would cut production and tighten the market further, causing even higher prices and possibly $5 gas in the summer of 2012. This is their Achilles Heel, even without cap and trade, and our advantage is that most of them are too dumb to figure this out.
