That kind of quote sounds more Michael Savage than Rush Limbaugh. This is probably the story: someone in some blog out there mixed up the speakers and the moonbats saw it and went moonbatty without vetting the reference.
On his show today, Rush said his staff traced the comment back to an entry made 8 years ago on Wikipedia that is/was labeled “under dispute” or “unconfirmed” or something like that. I don’t use Wiki so I’ve never read the entry.
I disagree. I think it was some moonbat who intentionally made it up and the moonbats at MSNBC repeated them to give them some credibility and now it has been repeated so often that it is just assumed it is true.
The quote started making the rounds when some internet leftie planted it at Wikiquote. He also planted the one about James Earl Ray, as well as one which was actually a slightly altered passage from Mein Kampf. The quotes are clearly bogus, but of course the left-wing dork-o-sphere picked them up and spread them far and wide.
