Refresh my memory. Who was that player and what happened?

I watched NO regular season baseball this year, but have watched the playoffs. I only watch hockey when the Stanley Cup playoffs begin. I havent watched the NBA in more than 10 years.

Giving up the NFL would be harder, but certainly do-able.

I watch enough college football to satisfy my football jones.

When John Rocker expressed an opinion that I happen to disagree with but the millions of people who voted for Pat Buchanan do agree with, MLB sent him to "reeducation" sessions just as if he were in Stalinist Russia. That was it for me and I sent Bug Selig [great name for a fascist] an e-mail telling him I was done with them. I probably have not watched a full game since then and I was a big baseball fan.

As for football, I will turn my attention more fully to college football. I was more of a college football fan anyway.
