Vandals shocked Americans Monday night by carving a 20 x 30-foot swastika and the word “Obama” and the letter “I” near the 18th hole of a Massachusetts golf course. The Secret Service is investigating the possibility of an intended threat on the president.
The letter “I” may have represented “Israel.”

This is a story written by an Israeli for the Israeli press. Claiming the *I* referred to Israel was likely a simple-minded way of creating a news “hook” to appeal to his editors and readers.

During the 2004 campaign, there were COUNTLESS examples of swastikas painted on the campaign signs and homes and sidewalks of Bush-Cheney supporters.
I seriously doubt that the Secret Service investigated anything approaching a dozen of those cases.

There’s a lot of red in Mass., in the burbs. The cities kill us in elections and not much of it leaks into the suburbs because we don’t allow city transportation in. LAKEVILLE, Mass -- Police along with the Secret Service are investigating after a local country club discovered a symbol that represents eastern religious beliefs carved into the green.
Lakeville Country Club workers discovered the vandalism early Monday morning.
Police believe the vandals meant to carve a swastika next to President Barack Obama's name on the 18th hole; however, the symbol was backwards and means hope and peace in some Eastern countries.
