“They may be a lot of things, but Republicans they are not.”

Oh they are Repub-likkins alight, they just aren’t conservatives.

if the GOP is dumb enough to do the unthinkable again; would everyone be in favor of supporting a third party candidate?

We might stand a better chance of taking over the Democratic Party...

Of course that fifty-five year old bachelor doesn’t have a daughter, or any other progeny for that matter.

After all, to produce offspring in the normal way first requires intercourse with a woman.

I am so @#%!! burned up that Little Lord Flimsey Tinkerbelle for whom I did not vote, is becoming the face of conservative gun-friendly Bible-believing South Carolina.

Learn more about our other senator, Jim DeMint. What a great contrast to Light Loafers Lindsey.

If the “Graham as new McCain” meme sticks, then defeating McCain can be also a vote against Graham who is not up for election for a number of years. He might think twice if McCain loses.

If Graham wants to align himself with the “wrong” side, so be it. As events continue to unfold, we will proven right.

Ok everybody, on the count of three repeat after me: "We have to vote for the ones who can win."
"We have to vote for the ones who can win."
"We have to vote for the ones who can win."
"We have to vote for the ones who can win."

So, the next time you get sick to your stomach at how the GOP is a part of the problem, just remember those ten magic words.

I was hoping against hope that by using examples like McCain, Graham (and throw in Snowe) it is not an indication of what the party has become. Mikey needs to welcome conservatives and conservative values back to the party with open arms - and start by a redux of a national/local contest plan like “Contract With America” - and DUMP the RINOs.

That’s what I’ve been saying on and offline for months now. Sadly, far too many conservatives simply won’t do it. If they don’t start pulling their weight by next year’s primaries, we be stuck voting for the same old RINOs in next year’s general election. It’s do or die time now, people. Let’s get it done.

If they nominate an idiot like either of those two, we may as well try

How pathetic is the GOP voter of South Carolina?

I think they're suffering from some mental disorder. They send one of the best to Congress: Jim Demint, and need I say more.

Why support a third party? Regain control over the GOP and support conservative candidates. We have six months until the 2010 primaries and two and a half years til the Republican presidential primaries. It’s time to get busy.

I agree!
We are trying to do that in our area. It is an incredible uphill battle.

Just curious, how much success have you had with getting conservatives actually involved in the party?

Some, the entrenched GOP in my state is not interested in winning elections or advancing conservatism. They are more interested in staying entrenched. The keys are the RTC’s and the regional committees.
