Tired from a long day at work, brothers Anthony and Peter Julien arrived home Tuesday night to find a bedroom light on and two bicycles in front of their Pine Hills home.
Anthony Julien went inside through the garage, a 9mm gun in his hand. One intruder was in Julien's bedroom to the right. Another man was pointing a gun at him from the dining room on the left. Julien dropped to one knee, knowing it was the stranger or him.
"When I saw he had a gun in his hand, I bent down and, 'pow,' I shot him right here," Julien said.
Both brothers opened fire. One intruder was killed, and a second was wounded.

This was big news in Orlando yesterday.
Good marksmanship from the Julien brothers....two less perps (well, definitely, one less) that area residents have to worry about.
Yes, Grenadans are hard working, upstanding people, those I have known and worked with over the years
one less intruder....one at a time.

If this happened at my house in NJ, my guns would have been locked safely in my upstairs bedroom....with no way to get to them! I hate this F-N state!!!
Cops....only minutes away, when seconds count.....
YOU are responsible for your own safety!
...he who hesitates is lost
LOL
“Be ready to strike, when the moment is right, without thinking” Pink Floyd
“The Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office will decide whether charges should be filed against Anthony Julien, 50, or his brother, Peter, 57.”
On what basis? Failure to permit yourself to be shot by a thug?
“Under the state’s Castle Doctrine, however, residents can legally use deadly force to protect themselves against intruders.”
Gee, ya think this might qualify? Even WITHOUT the Castle Doctrine, though, this was a clean shoot. The perp HAD A GUN POINTED AT Mr. Anthony Julien!
I THINK THY GUYS WHATS NOT WORNG IF THEY ROBBERS HAD A GUN THEN WHAT IF THE SHOE WAS ON THE OTHER END.THAT MAN AN HIS BROTHER WOULD OF BEEN DEAD IN THEY OWN HOME.THATS WHY U LOW LIFE PEOPLE SHOULD OF GET A JOB.AN THE MOTHER OF THE 17 YEAR OLD NEED HER A$$ BEAT.AN IT SHOULD OF BEEN THE 25YEAR OLD DEAD NOT THE 17.THAT WHY IM 25 WITH 5 KIDS AN I TRY 2 TEACH MY KIDS 2 NOT 2 TAKE OR ENTER IN BODY HOME.CAUSE U CAN MAKE IT IN BUT U WANT MAKE IT OUT.THEM GUYS HAD 2 DO WHAT THEY HAD 2 DO U WOULD OF DID THE SAME.IF SOMEBODY COME IN MY HOME IM ACT FRIST.SO LEAVE IT UP FOR GOD HE NO WHATS BEST.THAT A LOVE MAN 4 SOME BODY 2 TAKE FROM HIM.HE RIDE IN THE PARRAMORE &CALLAHAN AN GIVE THE KIDS FREE ICECREAM IF U DONT HAVE NO MONEY HE NOT A HURTFUL PERSON WAS LOOK OUT 4 HIS BEST.

I could have called 911, and in two days they let him go and they do it again," Anthony Julien said. "We shot them first and then called 911."
I love these feel-good stories, especially in the morning.
Oh man...that hurt to read.....
Uh oh, depending on the prosecutor’s or persecutor’s political affiliation or affliction, this could be bad for the Juliens. They arrived home and suspected that there were intruders in the house. The state attorney just might rule that they had an obligation to call the cops first. I can see it now: The castle rule does not apply because they were outside the castle.
Watch this one closely.
Here are two brothers with their priorities and their gun sights straight.
Amen.

i live in jersey, i feel your pain but i tend to disagree with your way of thinking..
May I ask what you disagree with?
May I ask what you disagree with?
unless i read your post in error, there is no sense in owning a gun & keeping it “safely” locked up in an upstairs bedroom.as far as hating this state i’m in total agreement with you...
Pine Hills, also known as Crime Hills. Not the most pleasant Orlando suburb.
“=====there is no sense in owning a gun & keeping it safely locked up in an upstairs bedroom.======”
In the state of NJ it is a law because 2 of my 3 kids are under the age of 18.....15 and 12. Therefore, I MUST lock up ALL firearms and ammo because of this law. I probably would do that anyway. However, I was alluding to the fact that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get a carry permit in NJ. Therefore me and my family would have been killed because of these F-ing communist laws!!
Sorry, these liberal pigs just tick me off in this state.
I live near Orlando. That area is NOT safe where they live. Glad they had weapons to defend themselves and used them.
I bet this Ms. Cooper broad is a teacher in Orlando!
~~~~~~~~~ Now, that is one scary bit of "writing"! ~~~~~~~~~
Ummm, "MS.C..." -- some questions:
Apologies! It’s your thread; I intended to courtesy-copy you on #27...
“Tired from a long day at work, brothers Anthony and Peter Julien arrived
Eric Holder Dept. of Justice Legal Analysis on the action of the
two brothers:
1. Guilty of returning from work. Working folks should be working
24/7/356 (366 days during Leap Years) to pay welfare to oppressed, desperate
fellows simply trying supplement their welfare checks with
“salvage operations”from the ‘hood.
2. Guilty of profiling: the brothers were rash in assuming that anyone
uninvited in their home bearing a weapon is a robber. It might have
been one of our FBI assault teams called to the wrong address!!!
3. Guilty of rational self-defense (no further comment needed)
Just had to vent a bit, as Eric Holder (IIRC) used Federal resources
to help defeat the first attempt at concealed-carry in Missouri.
Thank G-d, concealed carry finally passed. And we now even have
Castle Doctrine.
It was a happy day when I read of the first couple of burglars
sent to the morgue in a righteous shoot by a civilian here in Mid-Missouri.
(They made it into the “victim”’s apartment. But their lifeless remains
needed assistance to leave the premises!)
fyi..
# Did you know that its a criminal offense, punishable by a fine and imprisonment, to leave a loaded firearm “within easy access” of a minor (anyone under the age of 16)?
god bless & good luck..
You must not live here in FL. A few years ago, the castle doctrine was amended to extend outside the home to the street. That's why the antis howled so much and called it the Stand Your Ground Law because there is no more duty to retreat before employing deadly force. Here's the one that's even better: The Shoot First Law. The brothers are protected by state law. Moreover the anti gun DA can't bring charges if it's determined that the actual shoot was justified. That was a part of the amendment to the law. Frivilous prosecutions are barred specifically. That really steams the antigun DA's like the one here in Miami Dade County, the hand picked successor to Janet Reno, Katherine Fernandez Rundle. The best part is that when a shoot is ruled justifiable, the perps or their estate (in the case of one dead perp in this story) are barred from a wrongful death lawsuit! I love FL the Gunshine State!
Hi Mike,
Lots of houses available cheaply here in NC, and I still see good-paying jobs advertised in the paper. Get out, friend, while you still can.
Need more range time....................
Nice shooting!
The best pair there could ever be.
Not meaning to downgrade military training, but there’s just no substitute for blood.
I saw Ms. Cooper’s post and can only guess it is a spoof. It is a bad spoof but someone worked on making it that bad.
The history so far is pretty good for the brothers. In fact, there have been a handful of cases where folks won some pretty suspect cases based on the law. The law allows you to protect yourself and your property with lethal force.
I would be surprised if they were charged. They could have left out the part about the perp getting out in two days and why they didn't call police first. That certainly doesn't help their cause.
I have some children and have a solution for you.
I purchased a couple of gun safes. Each of them require a 4-finger code that you get to program. They hold loaded and chambered ammunition in the cocked position ready to fire inside. I have two because one is for my carry piece and the other is for the home defense. My wife has memorized the code and both of us can get to the safe and have the .45 in hand in under 4 seconds in pitch black.
The safes also have a feature that tells me if any of the kids have pushed any of the buttons on either of the safes. I do check periodically to see if I need to have a discussion with them. As far as I know, they do not even know what they are as they blend in well with our bedroom furniture.
I can send a web link if you would like.
Secondhand lions!
Vote with feet.
Good on ‘em. To hell with the thieving bastards.
Florida is not a safe place to work in the burgling trade.
Give the author of the quote some credit for understanding some things and trying to impress them on her children. And at 25 she(?) could have had the first baby at 18-20.
Are you sure the quote isn’t from Myomoto Musashi?
He said the same thing. That the key to winning at swords was...
‘be ready to strike, when the moment is right, without thinking’
what song?
Assuming the post isn’t a put on, I find her opinion (not her circumstance mind you) quite agreeable, namely..
“THEM GUYS HAD 2 DO WHAT THEY HAD 2 DO U WOULD OF DID THE SAME.IF SOMEBODY COME IN MY HOME IM ACT FRIST.SO LEAVE IT UP FOR GOD HE NO WHATS BEST.”
Translation: If two people come into my home, I am going to do what I have to do, and I excpect anybody would do the same. Sometimes you must act first. If two people break into my home while I am there then God knows what is best, and God obviously wants those two dead.
Quite wise.
She said those guys should have been working and not stealing from other people and that the 25 yo should have been the one killed because obviously he corrupted the younger 17 yo who was killed. She didn't say it in those words but she did say it. There is nothing in her comment to lead one to believe that she is living off welfare or expecting you to pay her way, indeed she sounds like she believes in taking take of herself.
Read it again and try to comprehend it, you comment is entirely uncalled for and entirely wrong in its assumptions.
Pink Floyd
Animals
Dogs
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you’re on the street
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking.
And after a while, you can work on points for style
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake
A certain look in the eye, and an easy smile
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to
So that when they turn their backs on you
You’ll get the chance to put the knife in.
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder
You know it’s going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older
And in the end you’ll pack up, fly down south
Hide your head in the sand
Just another sad old man
All alone and dying of cancer.
And when you loose control, you’ll reap the harvest that you’ve sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it’s too late to loose the weight you used to need to throw around
[ Pink Floyd Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
So have a good drown, as you go down, alone
Dragged down by the stone.
I gotta admit that I’m a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I’m just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don’t stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?
Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone’s expendable and no-one has a real friend
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everythings done under the sun
And you believe at heart, everyone’s a killer.
Who was born in a house full of pain
Who was trained not to spit in the fan
Who was told what to do by the man
Who was broken by trained personnel
Who was fitted with collar and chain
Who was given a pat on the back
Who was breaking away from the pack
Who was only a stranger at home
Who was ground down in the end
Who was found dead on the phone
Who was dragged down by the stone.
