RNC wades into New York special election [backs RINO with massive funds]
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2009-10-16 | Reid Wilson

The Republican National Committee is making its first large financial commitment to the party's candidate in a New York special election, fighting back criticism that the party has allowed Democrats to jump to an early lead.

The RNC will give $85,000 to the coordinated campaign efforts, the maximum allowed by federal law. And the RNC will give the New York state Republican Party what a source described as a six-figure transfer in order to run more advertising on behalf of Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava (R).

Meanwhile, the RNC has sent two paid staffers to help Scozzafava's campaign, and it has committed to fully funding the party's victory program, aimed at increasing turnout in the Nov. 3 special election.

Nothing sums up the Republicans’ current situation than this.

And they wonder why people stay home rather than support these Democrats in RINO clothing.

there must be alot of rinos in the party who still believe in the gop, otherwise why are ppl still donating money to them. Give to individual candidates, not the party

Ditto. Dede Scozzafava is another RINO; might as well have a dem; at least they’re honest about their liberalism. Vote for the Conservative and donate to candidates, not the RNC or other republican arms.

“Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, who has attacked both his rivals as liberals”

This is the problem, Doug is running on the Conservative Party Ticket. I would not expect the RNC to support him. This is also a reason I will not send money directly to the RNC. I will choose which candidate I want to support.

I just don't understand how, after the past two elections, and watching the outrage at the tea parties and other events, they still keep doing the same thing.

I believe Rush is right about the people running the RNC (the elites), they are embarrassed by the kind of people who are showing up at rallies and town halls.

Michelle Malkin has some great stuff on this woman, being supported by the RNC AND Newt Gingrich --- including her being the recipient of the Margaret Sanger Award.

So our choice in 2010 will be hardcore liberal socialists pushing a heavy handed agenda or the people that love them.

What a choice. :(

lol! And the RNC continues to send me letters begging for money. No way, no how are they getting a dime from me. Taking my money and backing RINOs is no different than ACORN getting my tax dollars to back Democrats.

I think the problem with the RNC is that they only care about winning seats. They could care less about issues of the candidate only that they can win...
