A Bit of Bipartisanship [NYT editorial board lavishes praise upon RINO traitor Graham] [BARF!]
The New York Times ^ | 2009-10-18 | Unsigned Editorial

Posted on 10/17/2009 10:20:44 PM PDT by rabscuttle385

Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, who has long resisted climate change legislation, has joined the ranks of those pushing for a bipartisan agreement to limit greenhouse gas emissions. We welcome his change of heart. Mr. Graham has sensibly decided that it helps neither the planet, the country nor his party to block efforts to solve the problem of global warming.

. . . . .

Mr. Graham’s conversion could encourage Senator John McCain and Maine’s Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins — all past supporters of climate change legislation — to come forward again, and it could attract fence-sitters like Indiana’s Richard Lugar and Ohio’s George Voinovich.

This editorial is positively nauseating.

It also illustrates exactly why the super-RINO McCain must be removed by conservatives from the U.S. Senate at all costs in 2010, whether through a successful Republican primary challenge or by refusing to vote for McCain in the general election.

McCain's re-election, much like the close results of last November's presidential election (which were only close due to Palin), will be interpreted as a sign of weakness within the conservative movement on the whole and as a green light for the assorted treacherous RINOs to continue operating as they please.

The only reason that "light in the loafers" Lindsey is around or even bold enough to launch such a repugnant attack on conservatives is because of the traitorous bastard McCain, and for that, McCain must be ultimately held to account for Graham's treachery.

Unfortunately the GOP takes them no matter what. See Dede Scuzzylady in NY 23.

This southern-fried metrosexual is the poster boy for congressional term limits. Graham, McCain, Collins, Kerry and the other senatorial swine mentioned all live in an alternative universe. Living in DC makes people delusional. The solution is not an easy one. It would be a constitutional amendment to limit the terms of all U.S. politicians. But if we make it as far as getting on the ballots of 50 states we should add: reform of congressional perks, travel, retirement, etc.; a balanced federal budget; restoration of states rights.

If the Republican Party is to survive at all, let alone arise once more as the Party of Reagan, ALL RINOs must GO!!!

What would conservatives have said, if Ronald Reagan, in his final year as President in 1988 had said something regarding the upcoming presidential contest such as "the American people have nothing to fear from a Dukakis Administration"?

Think about it.

“What would conservatives have said, if Ronald Reagan, in his final year as President in 1988 had said something regarding the upcoming presidential contest such as “the American people have nothing to fear from a Dukakis Administration”?”

Of course Reagan would sooner cut off his toes....My father was a local political figure in Newton Massachusetts, and once debated Dukakis at Boston University.(1978) My dad wiped the floor with him. Dukakis told my dad after the debate “ I’m a Marxist, and too old to change. You can imagine how mortified my dad was when CNN had Dukakis ahead of Bush at one point ;-)Now he looks tame in comparison to Obama, and my dad, God rest his soul, isn’t around to see what happened to his beloved America.

WOW, Dukakis admits to your Dad that he’s a Marxist?!?

That would have gone viral on the Internet within an hour had the ‘net been active as it is now, that’s fantastic!

I know what you mean about your Dad not being around to see what is happening to our Republic, my Dad left us in January ‘07, just before 0bama started his ‘long march’ like Anita Dunn’s idol Chairman Mao.

I’m glad he didn’t have to see all this unfolding.

“WOW, Dukakis admits to your Dad that he’s a Marxist?!?”

Yes he did, in the reception room after the debate. I doubt that my dad was the only one he told. Many people back there knew he was a hard core leftist, but that was OK in Boston. CNN was not nearly as bad back then, and a young political reporter dubbed him “Rocky the Squirrel” after seeing him riding a tank ;-)

My dad actually called the Bush team to report it, but they weren’t interested.

That tank picture is what cost him the election.

And what people don't remember (or don't WANT to remember) is that it was noneother than Dukakis' fellow 'Rat Al Gore who raised the issue of furloughs for killers, opening the door to the Willie Horton issue in '88 during the 'Rat primary season. Did Lee Atwater (God rest his soul) make Willie Horton a household name? You bet. Did Dukakis sign off on the furloughs that permitted Horton and other violent criminals to leave prison and terrorize the public?

We all know he did.

That doesn't surprise me, Lee Atwater was a great campaign manager, but his boss never truly had the requisite 'fire in the belly', which is why he lost in '92.

I’m certain that if Atwater hadn’t been around, Bush would have lost. Atwater was a shrewd warrior.

I’m sure that to this very day, Dukakis feels he did the right thing with his “furloughs for killers” program. He was(is) a lunatic.

RINO Lindsey RINO Graham RINO ping

This pisses me off so much I’m not going to post a pic of this disgusting, vile RINO.

This is absolutely disgraceful. It really makes me want to vomit. No kidding.

While it is not directly connected, I hope Peter Hoffman, as a third party candidate, completely destroys the RINO the pubbies have put up in NY.

We conservatives have got to take the GOP back from the frigging RINOS.

Thanks for the ping rab.
