WASHINGTON - The unprecedented number of death threats against President Obama, a rise in racist hate groups, and a new wave of antigovernment fervor threaten to overwhelm the US Secret Service, according to government officials and reports, raising new questions about the 144-year-old agency’s overall mission.

The Secret Service is tracking a far broader range of possible threats to the nation’s leaders, the officials said, even as it also investigates financial crimes such as counterfeiting as part of its original mandate.

The new demands are leading some officials, both inside and outside the agency, to raise the possibility of the service curtailing or dropping its role in fighting financial crime to focus more on protecting leaders and their families from assassination attempts and thwarting terrorist plots aimed at high-profile events.

Since anyone that exercises free speech against Obama, me included, is now classified as “rising racist hate groups” I can understand their dilemma. Perhaps if the fascist statists gave up on their plans to destroy America, there would be fewer outraged citizens.

Clearly, all these alleged “racial” hatred death threats against THE ONE is to lay the groundwork for the creation of a political secret police force modeled on the STASI and KGB.

Already the SS are top guns in the Department of Homeland Security, the next logical move for an Administration bent on totalitarianism is place the Director of the SS and his agency over ALL elements of security and law enforcement as was done in Nazi Germany.

To me it seems that all these claims of “racist” death threats may be fictitious (very few public reports of persons being charged) and are more designed to try and retain and resurrect the black voter's enthusiasm in the 2010 elections.

Good question. I don't think so, unless they promote the overthrow of the Govt. In fact, I think that the Nazi Party USA and the Communist Party USA are both protected organizations so I suppose if you registered your organization with clearly defined goals which did not advocate the militant overthrow of the Govt or some sort of ethnic cleansing you would be protected and even garner some sort of support from the ACLU which would be really ironic.
