Tea Party in Atlanta [After Action Report]

We had 1000 people there. I love the way the organizers got everyone to sign up and wear a tag to prove how many showed up. They are also sending each of those tags (with names and addresses on them) to CNN so they can see how many showed up. We got a 3 for 1 that day. We marched past CNN shouting "CNN: Tell the Truth", we marched past the Federal Reserve shouting, "Stop Printing Money", and Past the AJC shouting, "Dinosaur Death Watch."

Unfortunately I missed the Patriot Guard on their Harley's. It was a good day though.

Great turnout, love the folks in colonial garb.
Sure has come a ways from when SuzzaneC, Yaya, I
and other early freepers protested Clinton in the
same spot, many years ago. Who dreamed then that
we would be in an even worse situation a few years
hence...

I'm not sure the message got through. This is from the AJC web site:

AJC Photo of 10-17-2009 Operation Can You Hear Us Now protest
A crowd of demonstrators Saturday outside CNN Center and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution offices in downtown Atlanta protested what they called 'liberal bias' by mainstream media. About 200 protesters were on hand, according to police estimates. A demonstrator said about 600 attended the event.

More pictures from the AJC at Atlanta demonstrators decry 'bias'

It sounds like they haven’t received those name tags yet.

About 200 protesters were on hand, according to police estimates.

This is amazing to me. How come almost every report by the police and fire department get it wrong all over the US. Does anyone realize this. This is getting very troubling for me.

Well the AJC can kiss my rear. I was Demonstrator number 733 and my wife was 734 and more came after us. We can Count! They obviously can’t. In their defense about 200 were there at any given time while I was there. I came late.

We had a nice turnout in my area. And the local paper gave coverage that was fair, and much better than in the past or I had expected. We get a minimum of 200 people, and there had never been a demonstration by conservatives even close to this size.
These demonstrations are happening all over the country, and getting larger and smarter, like numbers for the folks to show the turnout.

You know they will trash all those 1,000 signup cards and still not make a correction. Best send them copies of them on sheets of paper and keep the originals so you can keep sending until they report them.

Numbering is a good idea. Then let the highest numbered person come front and center with a large poster with the number on it, take a picture and send a copy to the targeted entity.

My Family (and a few thousand more) were at Centennial Park yesterday morning for a JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) fundraising walk. After the walk ended, we came by the Tea Party ... what a wonderful, spirited crowd!
