We are discussing the whole affair of ‘arranged births’ and the like in the comments. Seems Native Hawaiians have some interesting traditions. One of which is called ‘hanai.’

Hanai is an adoption of a Royal Hawaiian Child to other relatives for raising—USUALLY grandparents.=) Because of colonialization, the Royal bloodline went underground in some cases—’hanai’ is the perfect way to hide.

Yes, that’s why we have to dig in this very odd direction. ‘Dunham’ and ‘Davis’ are two very odd names to be mixed in with all the Royal names that are Hawaiian.
