As much as Dunn would want to control all media, I can't get too wotked up over this. She's talikng about campaign media strategy. As a campaign plan you want the media responding to you not the other way around. They kept Obama talking whenever something else was about to come up and the media responded to the haloed one's words.

Media control is what Axelrod, Dunn, and Gibbs are doing now in isolating Fox as a lesson to any news org that wanders off the res. The danger lies when the other orgs start losing revenue stream and viewers. Obama walks, but money still talks. The media will begin to turn enough so that Fox is no longer alone in reporting the real news.

Yes, precisely. Obama didn’t do interviews. He produced soundbites that were repeated in the MSM. Consequently he was not subject to the normal level of media scrutiny. His positions, background, qualifications, etc. were not challenged. The only media outlets I know of that complained at the time was FOX, especially Bill O’Reilly.
