Chris Dodd is one lucky old fart. The guy survives lots of heavy, HEAVY drinking throughout his life, the kind where you can't remember the crap you've done the night before and don't know how you got home, became the co-creator of the waitress sandwich with Dead Kennedy, and lots of sex with a number of different women without picking up herpes or AIDS, and the ol' boy comes down with prostate cancer this July.
He's not lucky because he has prostate cancer. He's lucky because he's got an awesome private Senate healthcare plan, and a clinic to go to right at his work to get drugs anytime he wants to, anytime he feels bad he can go down there and have doctors and nurses checking him over. He's lucky because people in Congress and the White House are exempt from having to take the public option - Obamacare. They will NEVER for one moment have to EVER even consider having to take the public plan if they don't want to. And none would, because it's going to suck big time. They all know it, and that's why they had Waxman's committee exempt them all from it back in July 2009.
He's a luck SOB because under Obamacare, he may not get the best cutting edge treatment and procedures and doctors that he can under his privately-run healthcare plan he enjoys right now.
And it's really strange too, because we had all of these liberal democrat power-mongers telling all of us that the evil private insurance companies - just like the ones running Congress' plan - were the problem because of their greed and denial of care to people. If this were true I'd think Dodd and the rest of the libs pushing for this would be the FIRST people signing up for the public option, to ensure they always got the best care at the lowest cost and would never be denied care.
The reality is a person as old and worn out like Dodd, would, under Obamacare, quite possibly be told that tehy wouldn't allocate resources for him other than pain pills.

Good point. He’s well past those days however. He pulled this kind of stuff in the 80s when both he and Kennedy were both hitting the sauce really, REALLY hard.
The good news is that the price of scotch should drop significantly now that only Dodd remains.
Although if the Countrywide mortgage thing comes back, his consumption will probably increase.
Give a bunch of these to him when you see him. Print out some more and pass them out at the party. You will have an awesome time there, have fun and tell the others where they can go to print more out on their own.
These bills will be great things to work against Dodd. It is even bigger than just Obamacare, it shows what a hypocrite he is.
It reads that way.
You said one of Dodd’s GOP opponents is coming to town and that there will be a get together / fundraiser kind of event, right?
His GOP opponent would LOVE these bills. He’s running against Dodd! The bill slams Dodd, the GOP guy should like having a few of these.
