This is one of the most blatant attack pieces I've seen in a while. This writer didn't even try to hide her anti walmart bias.
This same writer probably thinks that the predatory pricing that 0bamacare will introduce into health insurance, ultimately driving private firms into bankruptcy, is just fine.
It's a terrific place to shop for vitamins that I once purchased at GNC. Savings are significant... sometimes 50% to 60% cheaper.
Walmart also has amazing prices on first-rate firearms and ammunition.
Where are the vitamins made? If in the USA I might stop by my neighborhood WalMart again.
The same writer is also probably blasting Wal-Mart and then shopping there. I really hope he is putting his money where his mouth is and paying more somewhere else but I doubt it.
Guess what, most of the vitamins are made in China!
Wal-Mart’s cutting prices (which is what they always do) in this article seems to just be a pretext to spread the “economic recovery” propaganda.

My wife was having a prescription for a toenail infection filled at the local CVS and the Pharmacist was good enough to inform her that if she went to Walmrt she would pay just $4.00 rather then the $56.00 CVS charges.
The people who look down their noses at Walmart shoppers are of course free to throw their money away wherever they choose to if it makes them feel better, But why not lay off making the totally asinine character judgements on those of us who would rather keep our money (in instances like this) for other purposes whenever we can.
BTW, I was not referring to you when I made comment about those who criticized Walmart shoppers.

Excellent point. If Walmart enables poor people to eat, get medicine, and get toys for their children - and makes a buck doing it that's awful. But having the government create its own predatory company using money it seizes from the very people it intends to "compete" against? Nirvana!. . . which illustrates my take on governmentism (a.k.a., "socialism"). Ownership of property or money is simply a concrete form of credit for doing something (or being loved by someone else who did something). The system by which that credit gets accrued by some people more than others is easy to second guess, but excruciatingly difficult to improve upon - and seems to be impossible to improve upon without suppressing freedom.
Socialism is simply the lust for credit for the labor of others. The little red hen grows the wheat and bakes the bread, but the rest of the farmyard is envious when the hen is the only one who gets to eat the bread. The socialist politician wants to seize the credit for the fruit of the labors of the little red hen, and get credit for benevolence for distributing it to others. The credit the socialist lusts for isn't necessarily money - but it is for power, which is worse yet. With power, the socialist doesn't need mere money.
Walmart is anti-union. That alone opens up the gates of hell...

If interested in Wal-mart, you should read the WAL-MART EFFECT. The author does a pretty good job of staying neutral. Towards the end, he starts trending towards the anti-Wal-mart side, but it’s still an interesting book and very informative on how wal-mart works.

You might want to look twice at those. Many people call it ChinaMart, but it’s really surprising how much stuff they sell that isn’t made in China.
