Senate Finance Committee members have been notified that the committee's health reform bill was filed today. S. 1796 weighs in at 1,502 pages, according to a Senate Republican leadership source. It's still not up yet on the Finance Committee website or Thomas.gov. We'll post a link as soon as we get one.
What a nightmare - and we’re just supposed to lay down and accept this. These morons need to be held to account.
Let’s roll Tea Partiers! Time to melt those lines and get out in the streets..
We should be protesting right up to the 11/3 elections and beyond!
This thing can be filibustered solely by being read aloud. You figure 500 words per page average, 1500 pages. 750,000 words.
1500+ pages? Hell is about to break loose.
LOl, their 'concerns' are that some big union health care plans might be considered 'high-end' plans and be subject to the special tax. The unions and their members are not happy. What a bunch of predictable hypocrites.
Mother of God.
Mother of God.
1500 pages? omg guaranteed to pass in this new the more pages the bill is the more chance of it passing Congress.
Secretary of Health and Human Services
Are there any organizations taking this monster apart for inspection?
I just seen it on dobbs he looked like he had a copy of it on his desk it also comes with a 418 page summery ,
i bet the summery is so they will read that instead of the actual bill so they can say they read it
1500 pages of treason.
And that’s just out of committee. By the time they debate it, add amendments to it and reconcile it with the House version, I’ll bet it doubles in size.
For being environmentalists, these guys sure know how to kill trees.
We should be protesting right up to the 11/3 elections and beyond!
They DON'T care! They have one more year to go nutz like good marxists do with a country full of sheep and a completely willing media/pravda to boot.
Sad truth is, the majority of Americans now value their (second and thrid re-fi'd) posessions and "whats in it for them" over what this country once stood for.
Hell, I often wonder if said majority ever really knew what this Country stood for in the first place.
1500 pages is the reason

+++++++++++++++
Listen Michael - I understand your doubts. But I would say that is exactly why we need to fight (protest) harder - against ignorance and apathy on our side, as much as to show the socialists that they are greatly and passionately opposed.
This is not a short fight, but a long slog. Are we prepared for the long battle for the soul of this nation? As more people answer this affirmatively, we have a chance to wake up as a nation and find out ‘what this Country stood for in the first place.’
