MoveOn to Dems: 'Stay off Fox'
politico ^ | OCTOBER 20, 2009 | Michael Calderone

POLITICO's Mike Allen and Josh Gerstein wrote today on the White House strategy of trying to delegitimize Fox News.

Now MoveOn.org is getting involved. The liberal activist organization has started a petition aimed at Democratic members of Congress, urging them not to appear on the network as long as Obama stays away.

So, is MoveOn taking orders from the White House, or is the White House taking orders from MoveOn?

They both take their orders from Soros, the most likely candidate for Anti-Christ that I can imagine.

I just don’t get it. Obviously Fox is slanted one way, but so is MSNBC in the other direction. Why not boycott both because they’re opinionated?

I just think it’s funny that the Democrats don’t understand that MoveOn is proof positive that these fellow travelers are die hard morons, one and all.

From Barry Sowetto to the lowliest of MoveOn posters, they’re all the same. This is what you get when you open your Democrat yearbook and look inside.

Wretch...

What gets me is all the comments at places like Politico, CNN, ABC, CBS, The Hill, etc.....just 1 year ago, the comments sections were populated almost exclusively by left-wing lunatic Obama supporters. Since Obama’s inauguration, it has completely flipped. Granted, this is an anecdotal piece of evidence, but it does seem that conservatives are the ones who are active, energized, and growing in number.

In Islam and communism, “peace” is defined as the absence of opposition. So, “fair” is probably something very similar. In their minds, the fact that they would need to actually make their case is unfair.

Obviously Fox is slanted one way...

I disagree. Fox has more than its share of leftist commentators: Juan Williams, Jerry Rivers, Maria (somebody or other from NPR), etc. They also have conservative commentators. As a group they weren't shy on bashing the previous President, nor are they shy on exposing the current occupant's shortcomings...

Yes, Fox looks slanted when compared to all the other networks - but all the other networks march lockstep to whatever tune the Demonrat party plays. They have zero dissension to the message that Obama/socialism is good, Conservatism is bad...
I don't see the Fox network as slanted - just trying to do what journalists used to do: Report a story and dig...
Present day 'journalism' has turned into cheer-leading our slide into communism and cheer-leading any Democrat position...

If the intent of this effort is to stop me or other conservatives from watching Fox, I think they have the wrong strategy.

If they want to make Fox lose viewers, they need MORE Dems making their stupid points public, not less.

Anyway, its good to know Obama can focus on the media war but can’t make a decision on Afghanistan.

Ooh, I like this strategery...tell the Libs to act against their own self-interest by not appearing on the #1 cable news network by far...

Logically then, any who break ranks and appear on Fox are not loyal Dems and can be condemned by the Obamanation. Yep, that’ll work real well!

OK maybe I said it wrong. I just mean that if all these channels have opinions. If the White House is going to boycott one channel because it doesn’t like its opinions, it needs to boycott all the channels giving opinions and not giving straight news. But the WH isn’t logical, or intelligent, of course.

FLASHBACK 6/26/2008 O'Reilly Factor:

In his "Pinheads & Patriots" segment O'Reilly said that Al Sharpton had been booked 6/24/08 for Greta Van Susteren's "On the Record" but he didn't show up. He went on CNN instead in that time slot (and Greta beat CNN).

The excuse Sharpton gave, according to O'Reilly, was that the Obama campaign told him to do that.

This is more than four months before election day and the Obama camp was already at war with Fox.

Serendipitously, I just finished watching that particular Factor Show.

This is probably coming from Rahm Emmanuel, again.

Fox News Channel should do a 5-part series focusing on Barack’s links to Jeremiah Wright and his 20 year membership in an anti-white hate group called Trinity United.

Then see if they’d like to comment.

Journalists are supposed to hold officials accountable, speak truth to power and all that jazz. Since all the power is held by the Democrats, that is who is getting the heat. Not because they are Dems, but because they are in power. The real “tell” of who is bias is to see who does not hold the power holders accountable. As Beck says, just keep asking “why” ? “why”? “why”? Like a three year old.

And when they don't we'll be in the clear to target them for taking Soros money and marching orders and they will loose their next election. (In my dreams.)

FOX ratings have CLIMBED since the Whitey House attack. I would think the network would greatly enjoy more of the same, as they now have more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined!! The reason is simple, of course...viewers look to FOX for occasional TRUTH and FACT!! These are items guaranteed absent on the rest of news TV.

There is nothing wrong with any station giving opinions as long as its made clear that it is opinion. Its when opinion is expressed in delivering “straight” news. This can be done in many ways, ommitting facts, exxagerating facts, or in the case of Dan Rather, inventing facts. Mostly though, the MSM gives opinion and bias by ignoring important stories that hurt liberals.

Fox news gives both sides of the story and that is why, compared to ONLY giving the left side, Fox news appears conservative.
