Posted on 10/20/2009 6:39:10 PM PDT by ButThreeLeftsDo
A Government advert which implies pets will die from climate change has received more than 200 complaints from viewers.
The television advert shows a father reading a bedtime story to his daughter.
In the book, puppies drown and rabbits are left without water to drink because of rising CO2 levels.
The male character reads: "There once was a land where the weather was very, very strange...
"Scientists said it was being caused by too much CO2, and it was the children of the land who'd have to live with the horrible consequences."
The young daughter asks if there is a "happy ending" before a voiceover tells the viewer it is up to them to change how the story ends.

Only a complete MORON would believe something so stupid, yet they received ONLY 200 complaints???
Well, they’re processing another 100 complaints....
Oh the Hugh Manatees! Wait, they swim, never mind.
When pushing stories about how ‘grown ups’ are ruining the environment, it’s always helpful to toss in a few bunnies and doggies (can’t believe they left off kittehs!?) for dramatic effect...Interesting that there’s no mention of humans who might be suffering from ‘global warming’ or ‘climate change’ or ‘weather irascibility’ or whatever they are calling it on this particular day.
Drowning puppy, dehydrating rabbit, jumping the shark ping.
You and I don’t matter in today’s world.
It’s all about the bunnies.
No smilie face, no /sarc tag.
Ha ! I think I know where you're going with that :
OOOPS ! Oh wait......
“Drowning puppy, dehydrating rabbit”
LMAO...if it weren’t such a destructive message it would almost be humorous. Would love to be a fly on the wall when some kid asks the obvious.
And this is England?
