Considering the name of this blog, we took great concern with the left Eye of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, which appeared puffy on Wednesday while she testified to a Senate committee.
Sebelius had a basal cell carcinoma removed from her forehead on Tuesday during a successful standard outpatient procedure, according to HHS spokeswoman Jenny Backus.

Looks more like the after effects of a stroke.
“She is back fighting to get everyone the same good health care she has, . . .”
Every word democrats speak is a lie.
basal cell carcinoma removed from her forehead (read: 666)
Shouldn’t she have waited in line a few years for that cancer procedure?
They do in Britain.
With the positioning of the pen in her right hand, it reminds me of one of my old aunts with that scrunched up face and gravelly voice telling you about the evils of tobacco while chain-smoking.
Yikes!!! I woulda worn shades.
My first thought was that she OD’d on Botox.
She should have worn an eye-patch - she’s a pirate stealing our money anyway, might as well look the part!
I wonder if she has myasthenia gravis. That disorder will cause an eye to droop.
ARRRRRRR! It’s testify like a pirate day!

I was wondering what the heck was wrong with her. I was watching the live stream, a short while ago. I didnt notice any bandage under her bangs tho.
The surgery is swelling the eye. Thats a very sensitive area.
"ARRRRRRR! Its testify like a pirate day!"
Yep. Once that bandage is removed, we’ll see the real reason she had an operation........... a real 216 = 6*6*6 mark.
Looks like George Tiller did a “Late Term” abortion on her head.
“ARRRRRRR! Its testify like a pirate day!”
I will not laugh, I will not laugh...
I don’t get it - why would a numbing of her forehead cause her eye to look like she had a stroke? They weren’t cutting on her eye socket - they were completely above it on the forehead...... makes no sense to me.
Yeah, the eye is definitely swollen, but look how
she is holding her pen, looks like a smoker to me.
The eye lid droop could be from the anesthesia, it
takes a little while to leave your system and her
lid might be slow to respond.
Her eye is bizare and so is Susan Collins’ speaking voice. What a freak show....
I think what you're seeing is the edema/swelling and bruising that tends to pool at a site lower than the actual surgery or injury. If you look below the eye and at the cheek, there really isn't any sagging of the skin like one sees in a stroke. The swelling has come close to closing her eye but isn't readily apparent because of the camera angle.
This picture is begging to have a cigarette in her hand instead of a sharpie.
I saw a pic of her getting the H1N1 flu shot in her left arm a few weeks ago...
..so if that's what happened (really, truly) ...it would be within the norm.
Kathleen “Picasso” Sebelius...
Can someone make the object in her right hand a cigarette?
Was the cancer lower on her nose by her eyebrow then?
Look how she’s holding that pen.
Katie’s a smoker or closet/former smoker.
see #34....somehow (I’m not a doctor) it just does....they’re connected at some level around the eye socket....nerves/muscles, etc.
My dad tends to get the closed black eye, and huge bags under his eyes, after they work on his forehead.
If you look really closely, there’s a skin-colored bandage almost immediately above her eyebrow just above where the bridge of the nose starts.
Now...if that were a cigarette instaed of a pen ...
Dang, I thought that was a photoshopped picture and I thought it was a cigarette in her hand. Shoulda looked closer.
Shingles - due to extreme stress - always one sided...I’m not a doctor - But if you get it on your face you look
like a turtle...
I had a black eye this summer from a blow to my cheekbone. I was amazed at the swelling (even with ice), and watched over several weeks how the colors drifted lower onto my cheek.
I don't wish her ill, but I wouldn't be disappointed if she decided to retire and enjoy her remaining years of good health - be they few or many.
Hmmm.wonder how long the secretary had to wait for her procedure? Do yo think a board certified plastic surgeon or was it a physicians assistant who performed the procedure?
do ya think she had a co-pay?
